One assumes his circumstances have changed then;as if i recall correctly, faversham also play on saturdays wnd weekdays,42 league games a year and travel almost as extensively in ryman south as they do in the premiership !

Does anybody really still think work commitments made Marsden leave us? Truth was Herne Bay wanted a fee that we couldn't / wouldn't pay so they took him back. Presumably we weren't aware that a fee would be required when we signed him. This story did the rounds on the Kent League forum at the time and the local paper here mentioned that an FA tribunal was going to be involved. Probably to set the fee.

I am quite disappointed that no-one managed to sound him out to CK before he moved to Faversham.

I still say that we were a different side after he left and would have happily had him back.

Great 70 minute player. If his fitness was better, he'd be a league player. I'd still have taken Marsden back, because he offered us real quality for the time he was on the pitch.

Really impressed me in the few games I managed to see last season he certainly proved to be a big loss when he left us, shame we couldn't have got him back.
