Witham Sign Rob Whitnell

Recommended Posts

I see that Witham Town have completed the signing of former striker Rob Whitnell. Did he play for them last year and how many goals did he score

Looks like a good signing for the club.

Any movement of players coming in from other clubs.

Apparently the team with the budget next season is Sawbridgeworth Town. Rumour has it they have had investment from none other then David Beckham himself. Apparently one of his newphews plays in the Sawbridgeworth "Hawks" Under 13 side. I have heard some silly figures branded about. Dwight Gayle, Billy Sendall, Ryan Murray are all on their shortlist. As a go between Darran George has been recruited as Director of Football and he is going up against former colleague Terry Spillane to capture these big signatures. I think the Enfield1983 side has been raided as well with Lee Sontag, Neil Hughes and John Hickman all joining Sawbridgeworth.

Maybe Takeley Tractor Boy has heard something similar?

what a remarkable story Witham signing Whitenell!!!! thanks for posting that Skelly,oh good i see youre another new poster on here,i guess that the story is even more remarkable when you take into account that no registration forms have yet been issued so it rather begs the question how any team has been able to sign any players yet, PR1CK!!

Thank God, your'e back, things were getting very boring.

Not sure about Sawbo, however Terry will be interested to see that Darren has jumped ship already and is pitting his wits against him.

Whitnell storey is on the Non League Daily site.

How funny..... The 'Hawks' are Harlow town for a start not sawbo (The Robins) and the rest is laughable! 0/10 for ingenuity whoever thought this one up!!

Rob was clubs top scorer last season and if he had not of left would of surely won the golden boot as he was about 8 goals clear of the nearest challenger, but went to Brentwood for a few months. The season before he left for Gt Wakering it looks like the 3rd return may be the one that will keep him at the club, after trying two clubs in the Ryman league and returning.

Whitspurs you complete vagina I know the clubs nicknames! I have been following non league football for 26 years. In kids football the individual teams give themselves nicknames. In this case the boys are the under 13 "hawks". You moronic straggle of siemen.

Basil-don you need some anger management!

Are you saying he would have got more goals than Dwight Gayle at Stansted?

I saw both last year, Dwight was more of a footballer.

I heard that he was being chased by another Ryman N side.

Anyone have an update on what is happening at Staansted and who the new manager is?

So what you are saying, in a roundabout way, is he aint good enough to be a Ryman player.
