any truth in the Chertsey Rumour ?

HEARD MR DAY HAS TURNED DOWN HAMPTON JOB, ASWELL AS TOOTING AND MITCHAM JOB AND IS CONSIDERING LEAVING CHERTSEY FOR BEDFONT TOWN, THAT IS FROM A BEDFONT OFFICIAL.

 

HONESTLY WHATEVER HE DOES, WILL HE BLOODY HURRY UP.

I think u will find that there was never an offer from our chairman to Mr Day who did apply for the position. Mr Chairman listenened to Mr Day and although the offer of an amount per week that he could bring to the club was a good deal the Chairman realised that on a pure football relationship he should give the job to someone who actually knows about football especially at that level ... So lets have it right Chertsey fan.... And if u want to challenge this I do have facts and figures to back it up so DON'T. I also seriously doubt if BGFC would touch him with a barge pole especially after they have had FA hearings against each other over the alledged tapping of players even when I was at BGFC... Good luck to Spence and I hope that one day he will realise that he is a money man in football and involve the right manager to bring his club sucess and revel in the glory that it brings... ALA Crawley Town and Bedfont Green / Town where a chairman has put his life into a club and a considerable amount of time and money with the assistance of people like GP and another of my best mates BB that will ensure that they ( although they have serious people with money at the club ) allow the manager the full control of the playing side of things and that is what football is all about.

That is a factual statement so hit me if u want but all my bases are covered .....

Chertsey Fan, I have no idea who you are or where this information is coming from. The season only finished a few weeks ago and I have not yet had a chance to even sit down with our Chairman, Secretary or my coaching staff who are also away. Its all well and good linking me to every local club but the last I knew was that i was attending our junior tournament at Alywns Lane only a couple of weeks ago. Chertsey were only allocated a League whilst I have been away and I see no absolute rush to come out and confirm or deny anything. I have not seen the papers (and the only interview I gave was about a lack of support financially the town of Chertsey gives the Club) and i am entitled to have at least a few days off. It is not me that has started these rumours and I will only say your information is incorrect. The people close to me at Chertsey know there is a lot more important thing going on in my life than football and business and right now is not the time to give me grief when we are still in bloody May.

 

And yes that was bloody good bite by me...........

Lawsuit for the Surrey Herald then who quoted Mr Day talking about other jobs he'd been offered, how he'd turned one down, how he feels he's not appreciated at Chertsey Town, how they think Spencer will just pay for it etc.
