Andy Swallow phoned up Talksport last night about the West Ham situation. Apparently he was making the phone call during his meeting with Julian Dicks!!!

PMSL,they never had anything near that, fact

You may well be right, just checked on the Grays website and they apparently have a monthly budget of £7000, and the great JDs wages are payed by a sponsor. The figure of £4500 per week has been banded about all season though, and comes from some usually very reliable sources.

Money talks and what price loyalty.

Orient signed a player on loan from Brighton. They didn't want him back.

He signed for us in January and resurrected his career.

He's just turned down a new deal and signed for Oxford in League 2.

Talking about Andy Swallow, my first job after leaving school at 16 was an accounts job in Dagenham and at that time we used to play football in the office when Malcolm the supervisor was away from his desk. He even convinced me to go Norwich away which was an education.

However much we love our footie, to the majority of players its just a job, and how many of us would stay put if we was offered more money and better conditions to go elsewhere.

Yeah remember travelling up on Lacey's coaches, observed a few scuffles up there with Andy getting a 'souvenir' City silk scarf, etc. Not nice really.

Mr Swallow wasn't too bad at playing footie himself. Always showed a certain amount of passion
