TRAINS!!

we have a few train experts on the boards here.. now as i see the fenchurch street line is a fairly simple set up compared to what goes thru london bridge or liverpool street.. it is based on 4 main points (excuse the pun).. the track.. the trains.. the signaling.. the overheads...

one would expect after decades of experience that if one of these consistantly goes wrong in roughly the same place their may be an underlying problem that is being overlooked.. how mant times do the overheads at after pitsea have to fk up before someone realises this?

and where have all the fking 12 carrige trains gone? im going to buy that railway one day n bring steam trains back.. fk the enviroment..

I reported one about 6 months ago when we had the storms. There were several massive bangs and flashes on the railway, so I gave the fire brigade a quick call and went back to z-land. Later that morning I could here the announcement at the station saying the trains were cancelled.

surely the logic of having the entire rolling stock of a network dependant on one power source is flawed.. with each train using a diesel engine you have much more flexibility.. plus the average well engineered diesel train engine has to be one of the most reliable and durable power plants known to man.. if one breaks down the one behind can push em both along to the next station n get the passengers off n the broken train into a sideing.. sure its a delay but at least its moving.. plus the things wiegh tons so dont wheel spin at the first sign of frost and most importantly of all you can give a diesel engine a name.. like pride of albans. or something like that.. modern electric trains are called units.. that says it all really

Logic? Since when did the railways run on logic?

We'd never do that over here at connex (soon to be the 'Officially Government Funded & Owned By The Strategic Rail Authority Until They Can Find Somebody Mug Enough To Take The Franchise On).

Last time we put forward sensible ideas on how to improve things they did the opposite!
