What's happened to the club website?

Yes maybe but I think that it's just been renewed the last couple of years and gone under the radar.

Let's face it,Colin & Ken hardly come across as computer bods,as far as they are concerned we have a website,it's updated and if there were any problems like a site needing money to continue then I think they would just expect us to tell them.I only found out last week that you had to pay a yearly fee on a site and I probably use computers much more in a week than they would in a lifetime put together.

I have personally paid for the domain names and hosting for the last 8 years - I think there are around half a dozen Hornchurch names that I registered and keep renewed instead of letting them go.

Have never really said anything - but if it is an issue let me know. :)

Some domains are personally owned and are redirected to the site for increased traffic.

BTW - there was no plan to even buy AFCHornchurch so I went out and got them before some low life domain farm did (actually the same applied to hornchurchfc as well 8 years ago) - hence the reason why the website is actually still on hornchurchfc.com - but then you would not know that unless you looked at the server.

The only domain that I do not control is urchins.org and that is owned by Rob

You need to understand that when these domains were purchased most non league clubs did not want anything to do with the internet and actually were not keen on any real info being given out in case the opposition found out.

Not sure there's anything to put on there anyway.

Always seem to get more info on here.

Music to my ears! I only agreed to carry on with the job after a personal plea from Colin at the beginning of this season. However, I am very happy to pack it in if its not needed. I spend about four hours a week keeping everything up to date - and I have lots of other things I could do with this time. 538868 hits (that's over half a million!) in four years would suggest some people use the website but I will certainly not be offended if the consensus is that its not needed. As previously mentioned I will pack it in at the end of next season anyway. Maybe the Supporters' Association would like to run the website?

The forum will always hold more information due to the fans talking about everything on a daily basis, but the website is just as important as it provides general information.Forum uses will pretty much talk about everything on the website but not everything on the forum will be put on the website and rightly so.The two go hand in hand. Some people choose not to use the forum and others choose not to use the website but each are just as valuable as the other as marketing tools.Put it this way,the website is official to the club, the forum is more distant from the club

Wasn't having a go Sid.

I think the website is great and very easy to use.

You do an excellent job mate.

I didn't feel anyone was having a go. I can certainly take criticism when I know it is meant well. I just didn't want to waste my time if what I was doing was not really necessary.
