Tough choice, although I really do like the Camberley Town one, was it Matt Griffiths on that muddy pitch. More like if for the build up and obviously a cool, calm finish.

I'll have to watch all again to decide...Bruty is already rules out, both scuffers ;)

Matt Griffiths against RPV for me for the same reason as others.

Good movement and placement for the finish.

I often judge these "Goals of the Season" on whether I think that that particular player or team could score one like that again if given another chance.

I would think that with most of these 40 yarders a fair amount end up in the allotments therefore a goal with a good build up will more often than not get the award.

I remember years gone back they asked some footballer on Football Focus to recreate his halfway line goal and after 15 minutes of trying he never got one on target.

Interesting comment,Matt Brunt had 2 good finishes on that video,Lucky maybe once, but twice i think not.

Smudge - I'm not saying that if you score a 30 yarder it is a fluke, it's just that even if Matt Brunt had 100 shots from 30 yards out then he would not be able to gauge exactly where each one was going to go (neither would a lot of pro players) because no matter how hard you try to get a ball from your foot to the top right hand corner it is difficult to do and sometime you rely on luck. Even I have scored from distance a couple of times but they were by no means placed shots.

Whereas a fine passing move, with a placed shot as a finish relies less on luck and more on the ability of the team scoring, no matter how [****!!****] the defence may have been.

JERTZEE, YOU WILL READ THAT I ALSO SELECTED GRIFFITHS GOAL. IT'S EVEN BETTER WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE STATE OF THE PITCH/SURFACE !!!

AS I SAID WORLDY ARE WHAT THEY ARE. I AGREE THE INTENTION IS THERE AND IF ONE STRIKES THE BALL PERFECT THERE'S A CHANCE IT WILL GO IN, ANY SLIGHT MISS HIT, THE BALL COULD GO ANYWHERE..........

What version is it mate ?

Its is Stomp (Smash 'n' Grab club mix) - Marcia Hines.

YOUR TYPE OF MUSIC TRS, BET YOU WERE DANCING TO IT WHEN MAKING THE COMPILATION.......LOL !!!

Music comes last NG and is courtesy of YouTube's own library of songs for which they have paid a licence. Avoids the video being taken down if you use copyrighted stuff, only downside is they put ads on it automatically. I always refuse ads normally. Good tune though and it probably takes as long to choose the audio track as it does to put the video together!

Interesting that people have chosen the Matt Griffiths effort on the basis it's not a 'worldy' from range, in that there's 3 or 4 others that aren't long range. Having said that, I think Matt's goal was the only one of its type I personally saw in the CCL this season!

Looking like a race between that goal and Brunty's Farnham effort for winner....

TRS NOT THAT INTERESTING REALLY THAT GRIFFITHS EFFORT IS IN THE FOREFRONT OF CHOICES. AS I STATED BEFORE, A WORLDY IS WHAT IT IS BUT WITH GRIFFITHS GOAL THERE WAS SO MANY THINGS TO MAKE IT A GOOD TEAM GOAL IN TREACHEROUS CONDITIONS WHICH MAKES IT EVEN BETTER....... BUT MUST ADMIT IT'S THE ONLY TYPE FROM THE SELECTION SO STICKS OUT AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED.... YOU CHOSE THE WRONG GAMES TO SEE THE TEAM GOAL BUT YOU DID WELL IN GETTING WORLDY'S .......LOL !!!
