Which says we were not very good,did not progress one bit,-and would in most seasons have been relegated.

 

Alot of hard work to do under Mr Kinnear.

 

Top 8 next season-forget it-you just don't make that type of sustainable progress in one season

Top half would be brilliant imo,but would settle for 12th-16th perfectly happily.

 

Slow steady and sustainable progress is whats required

...think there's a bit of a myth that we didn't improve straight away under CK first time round , I'd suggest those stats prove otherwise. Finished 96/97 with a 14 match unbeaten run.

 

Also had a look to compare the last 95/96 line-up and the first 96/97 one - the side that started the first game of 96/97 featured 5 of the previous seasons players and 6 new ones.
