Available Managers Jobs in the CCL

I think Sheerwater are without a manager.

Said on their website the manager Duggie is leaving after 20 odd years at the club. No mention of a successor

Any comment Loop ??

Not as yet mate, I cant see anything on sheers website saying doug had gone yet Hopper!

He Me was thinking when they were in a different league mate ! there was life before CCL Gray and believe me they had some good sides so did sheerwater and Bisley

Definitely refers to him as 'retiring'. I guess he didn't play this year so thought it meant packing up.

It's under presentation night news

Yep got it Hopper, he must mean playing days mate

Are you involved down there Loop?

Was from late jan till end of season mate to try and help Dougy out, lucky for everyone at Sheers and us it did

Glad you stayed up. I like Sheerwater, nice club although I see you were struggling this season. Watched you numerous times, last game being against Chobham when they done nothing all game and scored last kick of the game. Shame about Chobham going down, thought they were decent bunch too (you might disagree) In fact it doesnt seem that long ago when I played them and they were champions!

Are you all staying down at the sheers then Loop?

Chobham Champions !!!!!!!!! when was that ???? 8 years in the CCL, finished 11th once and most of the rest finished bottom three, inc rock bottom just 3 seasons ago with a huge 10 points !!!!!

Think it was when the league was the old Surrey Prem - probably only a year or two before the CCL1 was formed. . If I'm not mistaken they won it 2 years on the trot. They've quite a decent history I think you'll find Spy, I started playing against them in the old Surrey Senior League ( later to be the CCL prem) . The world was black and white in them days mind. They were probably the best side to play for in Woking for a long long time (with the exception of course of the mighty Cards!)

hink it

Iam sure the fullback at Vandyke use to stand there when they won and shout justice with arms open wide , colliers played them the year after they won the county cup and knocked them out playing for Bisley

Have some points even if you are making it up. :)

Looking at Wiki I see Colliers Wood United originally formed as Vandyke. Does this mean Vandyke Colliers United is a previous name of CWU or were they different clubs?

A bit more on Chobham (the & Ottershaw years are on a separate page)

http://www.fchd.btin....uk/CHOBHAM.HTM

Van Dyke and Colliers amalgamated and promptly won the league with a nutjob manager called Blockie'.

Colliers were from the Surrey Combination league I think.

Loop - I remember Justice - Kevin was his name, complete lunatic and hopeless.

Must have played against you in my old Burpham days. I remember your co manager Duggy at Sheerwater, he played in goal and was famous for poking players in the eye from corners. Did you play for the same side????
