ANYONE FOR CRICKET

Recommended Posts

Hopefully we can sort a friendly out with Dagenham,so if anyone can play a bit of cricket and is interested let us know and what you can do ie bowl, bat, keep wicket, make sarnis.

Obviously it will be mainly a mans team but we can use some young uns,if they are good enough

Maybe some other clubs may want to give us a game, does anyone know anywhere we could hold net practice maybe once a week or fortnightly for a while and maybe a pitch to use on the odd occasion if needed

I am a bit of an all rounder but am a bit rusty hence needing a net session

I would offer to play (if you are desperate!) - but do not think I would fit into my whites now!!

Add the the fact that I would have to probably rely upon hitting boundaries only!

Lol,good old upminster lad is greavesy

Hall mead called me back today,we can use their nets the week after the next half term (they are currently being repaired),beginning of June, till the end of July, should give us some practice. They cost £15 per hour, only problem is whoever books it must have a crb check if we plan on having under 18's training,so no under 18's cough cough (Jordan you will be 18 next week,ok!!)

I suggest we have it for 2 hours, and either weekly or fortnightly.Maybe Monday is a good day as it's usually a reasonably quiet one so maybe we could have it from 6-8 pm while the lights good.we will need some balls and sets of wickets, not sure where we get the springed ones but perhaps someone knows,so who is in??

And middle, any luck with getting a game against you plonkers???

Have found a ground we could play a 20/20 game against someone up at havering atte bowe, would cost us £80 which I think is good value

Obviously because of light we would probably only have a month or so window to play games if we started around 6,if we started a bit earlier we may be able to play a few games but we have to find opponents first!!
