Official Site Update (11/5)

I am very pleased that Mark Betts has returned to the club - he did he best under difficult circumstances last time. I bumped into him a couple of times whilst at Langley college (and once at Morrisons on the Farnham Road), and he always seemed interested in how the club was getting on and I'm pretty sure I've seen him at a few Slough games over the past 2 or so years as well.

Hopefully somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but will these teams serve as feeders to Tony Thompson's U18's? Regardless, this can only help promote the name of the club throughout the town and the surrounding areas. This obviously can only be a good thing.

The club is moving in the right direction!

I assume this is the successful youth setup run by Beaconsfield SYCOB which has been rebranded as STFC Youth? Notwithstanding the fact that this is excellent news and a real step forward forward for STFC I hope it was done with the full knowledge and consent of SYCOB.

To Answer Ian question ?

The tie up with BSYOB was all but a name for the last few years, and with Steve Easterbrook at our Helm, He has of course ensured that things have been done correctly,

All parties have been consulted., BSYOB (chairman) and the parents , young players and The managers of all the teams and your mangement board of STFC.

So all in all a great Tie up , , ....

cheers chris Sliski

Thanks, Chris. I thought that would be the case and shows that we are doing the right things as opposed to a few years ago when most of the time we didn't.

Great news - I had heard there was going to be some kind of link-up with SYCOB and the youth teams whereby we could effectively "share" players. It's fantastic to now have this kind of depth in the youth structure going all the way from age 10 to 17. It shows a real commitment to the whole community and we'll really appreciate the benefits once the move to Arbor Vale is completed and we're back settled in the Borough.
