Summer Friendlies

Recommended Posts

Are the Staines Lammas home friendlies being played at Ashford or at thier old ground?. Also with the MVSCR games is 'Stanley Park' just a playing field or thier old ground?.

Cheers.

Lammas home friendlies are being played at Laleham.

Hi All,

Due to a drop out I'm looking for a Ryman/ESL/CC 1st XI opposition for a Friendly on Tuesday 26th July 2011, KO 7pm, at a Private (neutral) Ground in Chislehurst, Kent.

The pitch has been booked, Match Officials Identified, just need an opposition, ideally I'd be looking to split the costs 50/50 however this is now negotiable.

If you are interested please contact me as follows

A word of caution to the well intentioned referees who have offered their services via this forum. Appointments to pre-season games involving CCFL clubs should be made formally via the league appointment secretary. If you don't go this route there is a potential issue around insurance cover, and possibly with disciplinary matters. And you could find yourself in trouble with your local league or The FA. During my time as a club secretary it was easy in the 'old days' to speak to local contacts who were usually very willing to turn out for pre-season matches for a reduced fee or perhaps a pint and sandwich. Unfortunately, there were a number of well publicised issues around referees taking on senior games beyond their capabilities. Now The FA expect pre-season games to be refereed by an officlal who is qiualified to officiated at the step level of the more senior of the two clubs involved. It is also expected that clubs should offer the full fee. It's up to the official as to whether they accept all/part of the fee. Nothing is simply any more!

Don't you just love these F.A.Rules,so if a Combined Counties Team plays a Premiership side say Chelsea in a Friendly, the Ref must be Premiership standard.Likewise if Crystal Palce play Colliers Wood in the S.S.Cup,a championship class official must Referee.
