Play offs

Another interesting article I found in the NLP yesterday (for those that didnt purchase a copy)

 

Bognor Regis manager giving his fair opinion on the way play-off's are organised. I can sympathise with him on this & to be fair to him he is not bitter but gives a fair view on how & why he thinks play-offs need a little tweaking.

Please note BOGNOR REGIS lost in a play-off semi-final despite finishing a staggering 31 points clear in the league table than their winning opponents on the day.

What a lot of effort throughout the season only to see a one-off match snatch their hard work away from them.

Oh well, thats football I suppose & that's play-offs for you.

Bognor have no one else to blame but themselves for not gaining automatic promotion

Of course you are right but you still have to feel for them especially when you take into account they only lost out on the Ryman South title by a goal difference of just 1 goal having scored 1 more than Met.Police but conceding 2 goals more.(both finshed joint top on points)
