The skipper D. Johnston got the winner with a thunderbolt from almost 35 yds out.......

 

Ooops! That was last year.......

 

 

Mepham has opened the scoring for Sandhurst in the 82nd minute.

 

It wasnt Meps that scored. The No5 scored

 

Not a great game but my take on the match was that Sandhurst dominated possession but Wembley had the more clear cut chances! Wembley will be kicking themselves that they didnt stick any of those chances away.

 

Well done Sandhurst and well done DT10.

Yep, liam eagle got the goal.

Thought the tannoy announcer was excellent, a true professional, and thanks to the ccl for the half time refreshments.

I think Kroonz was only quoting what I tweeted regarding the Sandhurst goal scorer. I was only quoting what the PA announcer said as I was in the process of getting my post match beer when the goal went in.

Apologies to Liam for getting it wrong at the time.

Good to see that it's the western CCL clubs who keep winning this cup though.

Makes you wonder what would happen if we had a representative team from Camberley, Cove, Sandhurst, Ash, Badshot Lea etc.

Easily a decent step 4 side.

2nd biggest cheer of the night was the lady who announces subs and goals....

 

"Sandhust substitution in the 82nd minute, coming off........(long pause)............(even longer pause).......No 11 Thomas Dean, I mean Dean Thomas. Coming on No12 Toby..........(long Pause)....Jannavykfykgkglglh."

 

"First goal for Sandhurst scored by........(long pause as she looks at the team sheet).............................John Mepham" (who is James Mephams dad)

She then corrects herself 2 mins later!

Not a good game to watch last night. Not a great deal of football played and this shows in the post's here that are mostly about the PA announcer!!! That tells you something. Thought Sandhurst fortmation was completely wrong. Big pitch like that and played what looked like a 4 3 3, no width. looked like they were accommodating players for the final!?!?!?!?!?!? Wembley No.10 was a threat all night but too often overplayed at the vital time. DT10, do you always fall down in the box when the ball is near you or was it just because the pitch was soft???

 

On a postive note, well done Sandhurst!

No football played? Ace1 was you watching a different game to me. Sandhurst got it down and tried to play all night.

Sorry Ace, have to disagree there, we kept the ball well and the formation worked well for us.

Oh and as to no football being played Ace1... really?? i personally thought we played some decent passing football!! especially first half!

Hoggie, thought you were the best player out there on Friday and the MOM, certainly not the No5 that did get it for scoring a tame header!!! You have to admit that each time you turned in the middle of the park and looked for a pass wide there was nothing there for you and you then had to turn back the way you came! It is only my opinion from the sideline where you do get a more balanced prespective from. Well done mate.
