And what people should be talking about on this forum is the team/tactics/new players and pre-season friendlies but noooo boggin Politics rears its ugly head and we all have to pay attention........................................ pppfffffffff.

Better talk to the people starting the threads then, or get the moderators to lock possible contentious threads on sight.

As I stated previously, this is an unofficial fans forum and I believe in "Freedom of Speech" on here. I would only lock threads if there was swearing, people being abusive or threatening, oh yea and certain Ramsgit Posters ;D

I suppose it's the opposition he doesn't appreciate and I've not seen anything I'd describe as particularly nasty. Some things said that may be weak on evidence perhaps, but that's about it.

This forum has been a great place for supporters to exchange views and information about an issue of great importance to us and its right that its not been controlled by the club. It's a bit rich for anyone to have a pop at this forum and the people posting when he does exactly the same thing to make a political point. Keep your head down Simon and people won't notice you. Except, he wants to be noticed and involved in politics so be prepared for some of the mucky stuff to hit the fan from time to time.

I remain convinced that Moores and other members of the Tory council could have been more publicly supportive about the development and kept to the rules. They have choseen not to do so. He didn't get my vote.

Should "On-the-sidelines" return a more approriate name might be "sitting-on-the-fence".

Dr Simon Moores does keep saying that the development is "out of his hands" and I'm sure that is a true statement to a greater or lesser degree. However he was also quick to become the "champion" of the Friends of Hartsdown Park and hence suggest he had some influence over the matter. Or was that simply pandering to voters? He does also seem to like keep bringing the matter back into public forum via his blog so he can't really be surprised that he becomes associated with the intransigence of TDC in this matter.

The Conservative manifesto also stated how the Tories would not allow the development and issuing of a new lease without full public consultation - despite the fact they say they have no influence over approval of the development plans. They do seem to want to have things both ways don't they?

To then suggest that the Club should be responsible for anything posted here on the unofficial forum and hence any negative or inflammatory comments should reflect on the club also seems a little blinkered. Have you read some of the things posted on Simon Moores' blog? Whilst he hasn't directly accused MFC of a smear campaign against him in his own post some of the blog contributors have no such hesitation - therefore these comments should be directly attributable to Dr Moores (who actually does control the blog content unlike MFC's role on this forum) and we should consider him libellous!

Doesn't work that way, affiated by association, without one there isn't the other. It does MFC's cause damage to have its "fans" posting fliers that probably are libelous given what I've read so far.

What a load of old tosh you speak, Simon. And there I was thinking that the splinters couldn't get any further up your ar$e. Pretty good at reading between the lines to suit yourself I see though. Not so good at using initiative when it comes to a stadium development. That's it, stick to the rules, and we must all abide by them. Absolute tripe.

He clearly thinks we're too stupid to realise its him posting here. Should stick to flying - that popular working class passtime. Man of the people clearly. Nice mention on his blog about how he flew a banner from his plane on David Cameron's behalf last week. I think it read "please notice me David".

Good grief and jolly hockey sticks, bandits at 12 o'clock... tally ho!

Do you honestly think that Simon would bother coming here, he's done to death the whole MFC thing to the point that he doesn't really discuss it on his own blog anymore.

Get real people, some almost 40 year old turns up on your "unofficial" fan forum and tries to discuss things differently and in usual mob mentality you just stick your fingers in your ears whilst shouting "nah, nah, nah... we can't hear you".

lmfao!
