AFCH - Financies and past directors etc

Recommended Posts

As someone who attends only around 5 AFCH games a season and as such, have no real idea about the shape the club are in or the mess that the club may have been in in the past, I was interested to read in last Saturdays' programme that it was said the club are looking 'healthy'off the pitch.

Whilst a few of us (myself included) have put forward ideas to try and boost the crowd and general income to the club, and of course it would be welcomed, I get the impression that the club are able to continue with crowds of around 200, which I would think would be near on impossible unless they are pumping in a lot of personal money?

As a curious question, could somebody please run through the previous boards over say the last 10 years and say if they was good or bad for the club, and state the good things they done and of course the bad things they done regarding the club.

I would say that although I have never been involved in an official capacity with the club I have always supported them financially for over 30yrs...albeit with a reciprical arrangement. I give them money they give me :beer2:

The current owners seem to be doing a good job in the couple of years they have been in charge.I know we do have sponsors who put money into the club and we have many functions that also help the club. The last couple of years the Supporters Association has helped with a small financial contribution donating items like nets, goals, tills and helping to pay for live football but these amounts are small compared to what various sponsors contribute.

Obviously gate revenue, bar revenue, burger stall and merchandising as well as matchday and stadium sponsorship in and out of the programme help as well.

As for the previous owners,we all know the problems in 2004/2005 and then we had a few successful years again before their departure and although it appears the club was not in the best shape I nor many others could tell you how bad it was

Happy with the way things are going now though but we do need more through the gates to help with costs obviously
