DOES NOT SURPRISE ME THAT BANSTEAD RESERVES (EPSOM EAGLES) ARE CHAMPIONS. I SAW THEM ONCE THIS SEASON AND THEY WERE A VERY GOOD YOUNG TEAM, I THINK THEY WERE EPSOM EAGLES YOUTH TEAM LAST SEASON ? MY PERSONAL OPINION, THEY WOULD GIVE BANSTEAD'S 1ST TEAM A GOOD RUN FOR THEIR MONEY..............

Ashford vs Hanworth Villa now on saturday in the final at Ashford for anyone who is interested, should be a good game it would be nice to see the guys at Hanworth get a result and we at Chessington wish them luck. Things didnt go our way last night losing a couple of players before kick off and our keeper hurting himself allowing them the decisive 3rd goal just as we had gotten back in to the game at 2-1. Still Ashford were the better side through out and deserved the win.

 

One reserve team fixture left now on saturday after that i have no excuses not to get dragged around the shops anyone got any please share them !!!

They definitely deserved the league IMO, very good side, very good on the ball and very athletic.

Also a nice bunch of lads off the pitch as well. Their gaffer gets extremely annoyed if his players ever moan to the ref or give away stupid fouls, which is always nice to see.

 

5-0 scoreline probably a bit harsh on us but we were very poor. Its been our downfall this season 'turning up' one or two weeks in a row then seemingly not bothering the next few. Oh well 1st season in Suburban so a solid 10th isn't too bad.

 

Was speaking to a couple of them last night about why their not at a higher level, its seems they're all mates and happy to stay in the same squad with each other, also a few of them are fairly old (though you couldn't tell!) so seems pointless to try moving up.....

Agree on giving the Banstead 1st team a run for their money too, in my opinion they'd defo challenge in CCL1
