Who would you like to play first game next season and does anyone have any idea what date the season starts next season

Season starts on 20th August 2011, and final fixtures are on 28th April 2012. Play off semis on 1st May 2012 and Play off final on 5th May 2012.

I don't know why they cram all the games in to 8 months,surely the could finish the regular season mid may and then the play offs a week later thus giving clubs 2 more Saturday games,leaving more time for cup competitions in midweek

Too right. I've really enjoyed the past few Saturdays, good weather and an excuse to sit outside with a warm Hen or on really hot days a cold Guinness.

Seems daft that our season is over when the prem has several games to go.

As I understand it reason the season at our level is crammed into 8 months, is mainly down to paying the players. If you extended the season into mid-May - clubs have to find 2 or 3 extra weeks wages, but there would be no significant increase in income to cover those additional costs.

Surely the players should be paid per game,if so then this shouldn't make a difference

Just a notion, any thoughts about demountable hoarding/ advertising barrier behind the goals for next season?

good point,this season we didn't have enough around the ground to be honest but i am sure there are plenty of companies willing to advertise at the right price,especially if they will feature more so behind goals

I like this idea...back in our heyday we had boards around the pitch (to the sides of the goals and they look quality)

Back in our heyday we were marching towards the football league and everybody wanted a piece of the action,we even advertised on faking talksport.It may be that reducing the rate per board may be the way to go to get more money as more business' may take a board up
