Another great weekend at Basildon United,two major cup finals- Basildon and District Sunday League Premier Division Final Wybacks 2 Torrun 0,plenty of ex Bees playing for both teams then Fords Sunday League played their Premier Division Final where Clapton based Bari beat Emblem 7-2.Numerous compliments about the quality of the pitch which is in superb condition for this time of season and it really goes to show that spending time and a bit of money on your playing surface really does pay off. Ive heard a rumour that Bowers are toying with the idea of holding boot sales and farmers markets on their pitch to bring in some much needed revenue, maybe if other teams put in the TLC on their pitches throughout the year they could now be staging the major cup finals which we are currently hosting at Gardiners Close.
