End of Season Awards

Recommended Posts

was Steve Hurd at Bookham last season JR or am I mistaken wasn't he previously with Wealdstone ?

Not sure, Duncs, though I think you're right.

I couldn't make the awards evening due to medical appointment, but 'Bucks' tells me I do know Steve, so it sounds correct.

Good to have Nick Torpey back at DFC.

Steve hurd was indeed at wealdstone, and cheltenham, and at spurs as a young lad! looking forward to having him and nick torpey on board, at last things are looking up at meadowbank, managed to retain every player, plus added four more, even the pitch has had 5k spent on it and is looking good.

how you managed that then bucker next seasons signing on forms haven't even been printed yet, did you meen you were hoping they would all stay and that you might have 4 new signings

Dorking were contacting players before the season had finished, and some players have now committed themselves to Dorking supposedly Duncs.

you can't tell before they put pen to paper LM,good luck to them if they can get these players as they finished up with a very good side,I wish we were as certain that all of our players would return from last season I've been hearing some ridiculous stories about the money that is being offered to some of them,i'm gonna get my boots out and get myself fit and pack up work to play again.

SUGGEST YOU KEEP WORKING DUNCS HA HA !

YEAH, ONCE THOSE NORMAL PLAYERS DO THEIR MERRY-GO-ROUND WITH COVE, BADSHOT LEA AND CAMBERLEY FIND OUT WHOS PAYING THE MOST THEN YOU WILL KNOW WHO'S PLAYING FOR YOU. THEN WHEN THEY ARE NOT GETTING A GAME, THEY WILL CRY WOLF AND COME BACK TO YOU COS THEY KNOW THEY WILL GET A GAME......... ! SAME 'OL, SAME 'OL BORING ......

of coarse your quite right, you never know for sure if you have retained all the players until all signed up, but im rather confident i wont lose any players that finished last season, (other than a couple i want to lose) plus four pretty good additions, and again you are correct, some of the money being thrown around is absurd, short term fix though, wont go down that road mysely, as we all know, next highest bidder and off they go!!
