Pitch was a disgrace!! Conditions awful windy an dusty our changing room stank Of stale urine i hope the league learn from this!!

It was like playing on a rock hard beach which made for a awful game, the away changing room absolutely reeked, glad we got there early and took the home one

 

Looking forward to the trip to Molesey already! Spotted someone who may of been NICEGUY, but he disappeared in a puff of smoke/dust!

YEAH AGREE, A POOR GAME ON A VERY POOR PITCH WHICH CLEARLY DIDN'T HELP THE PLAYERS ACCOMPANIED WITH A SWIRLING WIND ESPECIALLY THE SECOND HALF.

 

GAME LACKED CHANCES ALTHO' THE BEDFONT NO. 9 WAS CLEAR THRU IN THE FIRST MINUTE WITH KEEPER MAKING A FINE SAVE. THAT WAS ABOUT IT REALLY WITH BEDFONT HAVING THE BETTER HALF, INFACT WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH SOUTH PARK BUT THAT CANNOT BE SAID FOR THEIR SECOND HALF PERFORMANCE.WHICH I FEEL WERE THE BETTER TEAM.

 

AS ALREADY STATED A BAD MISTAKE BY BEDFONTS SUB LED TO SOUTH PARK STRIKER SLOT THE BALL PAST THE BEDFONT KEEPER WHICH WAS POSSIBLY THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 2 TEAMS..

 

WAS VERY SURPRISED WITH THE MOLESEY PITCH, AS WHEN I'VE SEEN THEM THIS SEASON, THE PITCH HAS ALWAYS LOOKED QUITE GOOD AND FLAT. WHEN TALKING TO ONE OF MOLESEY MEMBERS APPARENTLY THEY HAVE HAD A FEW CUP FINALS RECENTLY AND WITH THE VERY DRY WEATHER HAS TAKEN ITS TOLL AND NOT HELPED THE PITCH NATURALLY, EVEN WHEN I ARRIVED THE SPRINKLERS WERE OUT BUT TO BE HONEST HAD NO EFFECT...... SHAME REALLY FOR THE PLAYERS WHO I HEARD SOME GOOD THINGS ABOUT, THEY DIDN'T PERFORM ON THE DAY.

 

IN MY OPINION, IN A POOR FINAL WHERE NO PLAYER REALLY STOOD OUT, I THOUGHT BAKER NO. 6 FOR BEDFONT SPORTS WORKED HARD AS DID 6. 7 AND 8 FOR SOUTH PARK ALL SMITHS, MICHAEL, CHARLIE AND DAVE.

 

WASN'T THAT IMPRESSED WITH EITHER DEFENCE TO BE HONEST, BUT IN FAIRNESS NEITHER WERE REALLY TESTED.

 

ONE THING BEDFONT SHOULD TAKE INTO THEIR GAME. FOR THE LAST 15 MINS AFTER CONCEDING THE GOAL, THEY SEEM TO HAVE A SPRING IN THEIR STEP AND RALLIED ON TO GET THE EQUALISER. ONE MUST ASK THAT IF THEY HAD THEY SPRING AND URGENCY IN THEIR GAME FROM THE BEGINNING, I THINK WE MAY HAVE SEEN A DIFFERENT RESULT, BUT AS ALWAYS, ITS ALL OPINIONS WITH IF'S AND BUT'S.................

I can safely say in all the finals ive ever been involved in this was the worst !!!! From start to finish abysmal. !

HA HA NEWBY, TF. IT WAS MY FIRST DIV. 1 GAME WATCHED THIS SEASON AND ADMIT IT WAS A BIT OFFPUTTING..

 

CONTRARY TO BELIEF, I'M NOT NAIVE AND AM MORE WISE TO THINK THAT THE FINAL WAS THE TOP LEVEL EXAMPLE FOR DIV. 1

 

THERE WERE SO MANY ASPECTS AS TO WHY IT WAS A POOR FINAL, I AM CERTAIN THAT SOME PLAYERS DID NOT TURN UP WHICH WAS MY MAIN SURPRISE AND A SHAME COS I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING THEM + AS STATED THE CONDITIONS DIDN'T HELP ANYONE BUT LACK OF COMPOSURE ON THE BALL AND MOVEMENT WAS LACKING BY BOTH TEAMS IN MY OPINION.

 

JUST GOING ON ''THAT'' PERFORMANCE, DIV. 1 IS A LITTLE BEHIND THE PREM, BUT I KNOW THATS NOT THE CASE............. I MAY SEE MORE DIV.1 NEXT SEASON ????

Ng, agree must be off putting for your first game mate but div 1 is a good footballing division !! This is why im so fecked off aboug the whole day both teams like to get the ball down and play an have had two good encounters this season both ending 3-1 both sidex winning there home game so it shuda been a good game for us an neutrals then we saw the pitch!!!!

Molesey im not saying are a bad club or have anything against them apart from maybe there groundsman could of informed the league it shouldnt of been played as will also ruin pitch even more!!

Composure an lack of movement you hit the nail on the head i think for both teams an we at bedfont think it did us no favours finishing a week before the final we looked rusty! Wasnt a game for me as fullback i threw the ball in more times than i kicked it an suggested to the gaffer he take me off for another midfielder!

Will say there was only two pieces of composure THAT pass an the finish which i nearly stopped at 33 defo now lost a yard of pace lol

 

I hope you take in another div1 game most play football an next season will be tough !!
