Predictions bedfont v south park

sports boys will be well up for it seeing as we lost out on going up top 3 all season its hard to take but the table donent lie .i think it will be very close but we always play better in the big games when teams come at as and have won a cup in about the last 4 years.

looking at some replys on here south park have gone up and today is just a day out GOOD ONE.

i think you might be seeing newby running round in his pants again

I really did think that Bedfont would win this one as they missed out on promotion........

Ftfc....that was me lol. I was so close to that header, it skimmed my forehead! Last 5 mins losing 1-0 in a cup final you gotta go up for it.

 

Fair play to South Park, both teams had one decent chance each, but SP made theirs count. S**t way to lose a cup final when your own player plays a through ball to set the opposition striker clean through on goal with a 1 on 1...but thats football. Congrats to SP

Just got back

 

I'll start by saying that based on previous experiences I know what Molsey's pitch is like at this time of the year and i was suprised when i heard the final would be played there. On arriving at the ground there was nothing to change my opinion. With the wind there were times were i was getting dust blown into my eyes- I saw Newby struggling too..... That was a poor poor surface and as good as a stadium that Molesey's home is I hope the league learn from this.

 

Anyway onto the game and to be fair it wasnt that great. Bedfont Sports were much the better side first half - I thought South Park were terrible - heavy touches. Sports should have scored in the first minute. As I expected South park were much improved after the break but in a tight scrappy match it was either going to be a flash of brilliance or a moment of madness that settled things and 20 minutes from time the Sports left back decided to attempt a backpass to his keeper from the half way line which was latched onto by the South park striker who rounded the keeper and slotted home. Ref was Vince Penfold who is normally very good but from a personal point of view I dont think he had the best of games decesion wise

Very poor game on an awful pitch, with hardly any grass. The afternoon started badly with the tea hut out of bottled water at 2.30 ( they certainly hadn't been pouring it on the pitch!) and it didn't get any better! The wind was relentless - I didn't need a drink at half time, more some optrex! The dust was terrible. Probably apt that the game was settled following a mistake. Anyway it's been a long season and congratulations to South Park on another trophy.

I think that is a very fair report have to agree about the pitch on Thursday sports youth side had a final at the last min. It got moved from ashford to bedfont town because the pitch needed work done on it bedfonts pitch was fit for a cup final.today was a joke not because we lost one of the s/park managers was going mental at 1/2 time about it. Both sides like to play football but it was a joke hope it gets sorted for next season however gets there

That's quite funny, as I think we were more or less the only two people in that bit of the ground! No idea it was you either! I felt that structure was going to collapse on top of us at some points in the game.
