Greg Wood

Those people that have followed local football over the years hopefully remember Greg Wood who i also believe played for both Ramsgate and Margate in the 70's and 80's. Unfortunately Greg passed away on Friday morning after a battle with illness. My thoughts are with his wife and family at this sad time.

This is very sad news; I had the pleasure to have played with Greg at Margate and Ramsage (but not seen him for a very long time); I am pleased the club recognised his passing.

 

I sign off with tears in my eyes.

 

He really was a great person.
