Interesting reading.

Rumours always abound this time of year,a few I have read make interesting reading.

1. Guildfords Ground Grading was rejected by the powers that be over there being an insufficient wall between their Turnstiles so as to allow CROWD SEGREGATION to take place,if needed.

2. Horham Y.M.C.A. having been relegated from the Ryman South, will maybe switch to the Combined Counties League, this would aid their groundshare with Horsham F.C.,As any Sussex League side cannot share with a Club from a higher Division.

3. Redhill F.C. are also rumoured to be moving across to the C.C.L.,due to less travel costs being incurred.

Can this happen and who decides, are Croydon and Dorking really safe from demotion.can Clubs switch allegiance like this.

The Sussex League does allow groundsharing. It's in their handbook. I've checked. Like all the other step 5 leagues, they were forced to accept the FA's standard rules this season. Doesn't mean YMCA won't come into the CCL but I expect they'll be Sussex bound.

The Redhill rumour always pops up. They always say it isn't true and they're quite happy in the Sussex League but the next year it comes up again. If they do want to switch they need the Sussex League, the CCL and the FA to all approve it. I doubt Whitelaw will say if they have expressed an interest in switching but they weren't one of the clubs he mentioned as applying to join the CCL by the December 31st deadline.

Also heard one about Croydon. One of their supporters has said they're struggling financially and, if they do start next season, they may not finish it.

The above was discussed at Meadowbank at great length yesterday afternoon.

I'm guess it's a case of breath holding time.
