The pitch

Thought pitch was in good shape yesterday.

 

Ray was hard act to follow (is it rays son doing it these days?)

 

Either way-thought it looke good yesterday-and in better shape than at this stage most seasons.

 

I imagine that will make it easier to get in perfect condition for start of new season-not quite so much re-turffing to do,and with rain coming shortly-should grow well ready for August.

 

(hopefully a bit greener this coming season as it did look a bit anaemic/yellow in september i thought

 

That given-i think growing conditions were alot better this season,with the snow covering it and effectively protecting it for long periods ;and less autumn rain.

 

Even so-looked good-so well done-and as i said-hopefully even better for next season as its got a good start .

Having had to go on and off the pitch with the referee each match and then standing in the goal at the Tivoli Park Road end after the match I have to say how well the pitch stood up to the riggers of the season. For the number of matches played the chaps involved did a excellant job

Did'nt realise that there was a real 'problem area'.

 

Good that even at this level -the club are addressing it as per todays article on main site.

 

(are we certain the trench is for the pitch and not a CK stipulation that upon joining he gets a hard hat and trench to dive into for when the going gets a bit tough )

The trenches are through the centre circle area towards the dug outs.

The same as previous then. Is this just a maintenance issue. A re-digging of the original trench that was put in?

Some trenches are being extended, alongside fresh trenches in problem areas.
