Great result against a good team, could and should have had more. Junior was fouled on half way line but kept going and ref allowed him. He then put in a great cross for Boot to head home. From where we were we thought he had missed because it came straight back out, but realised he had scored when he started celebrating. If we had played this well for the last 6 games we would have been in the play offs. Anyway nice way to end the season, when do we start again?

Nice to end the season with a win.

 

An entertaining game helped by the referee who was one of the better ones we have had this season. Flanners and Benson the stand-out players for me today.

 

We finish 11 th with 69 points. That total would have got you 4th place last season!!

 

Definitely an improvement on the last couple of seasons and if we can improve in front of goal we can look to finish higher next season.

 

Heard that Wildy has agreed to stay for next season, which if true would be a great start to pre-season!

 

Season starts 20 August, friendlies normally start mid-July

What I found "interesting" was that certain (Billericay) players were able to lift ther game when it mattered to them (last chance to earn a place next season) but they couldn't play at that level when it matterd to us.

 

If we can add just a few more goals, and a bit more tenacity in midfield, then we are in for an exciting 2011-12

TC can you give an explaination on why Micah Hyde has not been playing recently?

 

I've heard a number of stories, but I'm sure we would all like to know the real reason.

 

We have certainly missed him in midfield and his leadership.

 

In my opinion he has had a terrific 2011 for us!

Micah played on Friday V's Croydon, Paul.

We certainly missed him the previous Saturday though. Shame really because a league season is always about the last few games, what goes before is 8 months of hard work laying the foundations of a season. But promotions and relegations are usually decided in the last handfull of games.
