MVSCR 1-4 Molesey

 

Disappointing end to the season for us, as we were comprehensively outplayed by a very good Molesey side.

 

We didn't help ourselves by gifting them three of the four goals - first one poor throw by keeper, intercepted by Molesey winger, goal from resultant cross; 2nd was a needless penalty; and fourth saw keeper and right back go for a ball wide on the right, only for right back to head passed keeper into path of forward, with open goal.

 

Still - Molesey were good value for their win.

 

Have to be happy overall with the season, we hoped for mid-table, realistically wanted to finish out of the bottom 3, so to end up 8th, and with a semi final place (although the less said about that performance the better), is better than we could have hoped for.

 

Got a few piccies yesterday, including Footy Mad doing his thing.

Always celebrate the good times newby however; to run aound your changing rooms in your PANTS like you had just won the league is slighlty embarrassing when you finish FORTH!!!!!

Heat of the moment .............running around in pants isnt that what you do in a changing room after a good win ......... We finished where we did because we threw it away against other teams when it mattered!! I celebrate whoever i beat as im a winner mate i hate losing with a passion!!

Congrats to Guildford in prem on promotion hopefully You can go up! Also well done to Farnham and south park 2 of the best sides I've played against this season so both deserve to go up congrats!!

We would of but in a different manor, the way you conduct yourself on and off the pitch will not make you liked FACT, i can tell you that by the amount of phone calls to our clubhouse wanting us to win. See you tommorow, i will end the game with a smile on my face whatever the score, i'll get the beers in what you drinking Sean?

Cheers NG - we/I do occasionally video games - not up to TRS standard, of course, but gives our lads something to look at.

 

Until recently I was looking after the gate at home matches, which often meant - sods law - that any time a goal, save or incident occured i was busy sorting out change for a spectator.

 

Since i have got back involved with working with our keeper on matchday, i have relinquished the gate duty, so might be able to do a bit more.

 

Watched the MV game at Croydon on Bank Holiday Monday - and it was one of the first games this season, that i have not watched a game through one lens or another..

 

As for the pitch, conditions were "tricky" to say the least - as the pictures show, clouds of dust kicked up every-time the players ran, and with a fairly strong wide, it was a nightmare.

 

Given the conditions, it was actually a decent games, with both sides getting the ball down when they could.

Yeah, was good fun - stand by what i said though - assessors should not tell you they are going to be there, but just turn up, watch, and then talk to you afterwards.

 

Anyway, that penalty decision....
