Some Positives !

Now in the cold light of day,perhaps there are some positives we can take from not being promoted this year.

 

For starters,we won't have to do so much travelling thus saving on travel expenses, which can be put into making a better squad or for the new ground. We have plenty of local derbies ie burnham,marlow,beaconsfield,chalfont st peter,uxbridge.

We have a new force to be reckoned with, in St Neots with Dennis Greene managing[ex Wycombe,Windsor and Aylesbury].

Our new ground should be underway.Some of our youth players will be a year older and a better league[the Central] for making the step up. Charlie Fanner should get a chance to step up to the plate thus saving on Rob Bullivant's wages ! Steve Perkins can become our coach for the vacant position John Lawford left and just sign on as cover for emergencies,thus bringing in a new centre half or even Nathan Bowden Hause.

We can add two,three or four new fresh players who are fitter and more resilient and not whingers/moaners or ill disciplined to stabilise our squad. We can let go one or two [ four in my mind, who I won't name just yet for fear of upsetting the forum].

 

Yes,I'm looking forward to the new season.......!!!
