Maidstone or Hastings - Who goes?

Well, a close thing as to who stays up & who finishes in the bottom 4. Final matches on Saturday are:

HASTINGS v AVELEY

AFC HORNCHURCH v MAIDSTONE UTD

Quite straight forward really

1) If HASTINGS win it dosent matter what result MAIDSTONE get they will finish 4th bottom.

BUT IF

2) AVELEY can't catch HASTINGS now unless they beat them by 8 goals. Looks extremely unlikely.

3) If MAIDSTONE win and HASTINGS lose or draw, MAIDSTONE will survive.

4) If MAIDSTONE draw and HASTINGS lose by less than 8 goals,HASTINGS will survive on goal difference with all three clubs on 38 points.

Maidstone are playing for their lives & reaping the rewards with some outstanding results of late They are the in form team at the moment & have given themselves every chance of survival. AFC Hornchurch don't really have anything to play for so.....Hhhmmmm!

Its going to the wire & its going to be an interesting last day of the season to see who stays up officially & who goes down, but hopes for a reprieve from somewhere up the line.

I think I have that right. Am open to correction.

Whatever happens on Saturday, the best ppg of 19th placed side will be Burscough in NPL.

Hastings may win,not too sure if Maidstone will get anything at ours as I know we are desperate to finish above billericay & concord,we had nothing to play for against daveley but spanked them 4-1,still,we should make a bit of dollar from the day as Maidstone reckon they are bringing 5/600 down which in all honesty if they do then it's poor show from them and part of the reason they are in such a mess,if those fans turned up every week surely they wouldn't of had such a poor season, you either support your club or not

Coffin Ender said: Hastings & Maidstone will both win.

So might teams at the top - 2 to 7. Worth a wager maybe, not that I'm a betting man of course,on them ALL winning on Saturday. Top 7 & Hastings & Maidstone.

Would just be my luck that all will prevail except Kingstonian

Tbh Maidstone for whatever reason do every now and then turn up in big numbers, remember seeing a picture about 3 seasons ago where they filled one end at afc wimbledon

Went to the last day decider between Folkestone and Maidstone in 2008 (I think).. at Folkestone so just down the road with all the rivalry, winner takes all. Maidstone probably had 400-500, but their crowds had been decent all season as it was their first year in the Premier.

Where have you got the figure of 500/600 from? Someone on the Urchins forum has said about 300 Stones fans will attend, that is probably about right (I think it'll probably be a tad less but that's just my opinion), and I suspect 99% of those people will have regularly attended this season.

tWas on the ishthmian forum the other day, saying that, the chap on our forum said about there being 1200 at Folkestone tge other year and you took half that

That is true, although Folkestone is a tad closer and our support home and away was a lot higher then (from 2006-2008 we were regularly taking 200 away with 4-600 for the games against Dover, Dartford, AFC Dons etc).

Whatever the crowd it should be a great atmosphere with a lot of people packed into the terracing on the opposite side to the dugouts.
