Div 1 Next season

ellers

Recommended Posts

Div 1 of the CCL next season will be the toughest for many years, with the possibility of Guernsey and Windsor joining the league next season it will be a very tough one to call! Add Staines Lammas who are looking to build on there good end to the season and either Bedfont Sports or South Park, plus Warlingham, Farlie, Eversley, Knaphill and the relegate sides from the Prem and you never know a side who has brought in new players and a coach, could make a bid for promotion next season!!

I'm looking forward to it already!!

any one know the truth about old farnbronians taking over the cody ground (farnborough north end) and joining div 1?

A division too low and in the wrong part of the pyramid for promotion to CCL1. The Aldershot League feeds into the Hampshire Premier League or Hampshire League 2004. Besides, it looks like they'll only finish second to Headley and I'm sure Headley will want promotion. They weren't too impressed with being relegated last season.

So Guernsey F.C. tick all the right boxes for inclusion?

This is where the FA rules are a bit ropey.

New teams can apply to join the pyramid at step 6 - Guernsey, Croydon Municipal etc., as that's all the FA have control over. In some cases new teams can even start at step 5 if there's room.

This is different from reformed teams who can sometimes start two levels down from where they were (Farnborough etc.)

Teams already playing at lower levels aren't part of the National League System so are subject to normal promotion and relegation rules which are decided between leagues although, in theory, I think any team can apply to join a step 6 league, even if they're a park team. Their application would probably be refused by the FA though. Having said that, they're forming a new step 6 league in Kent for next season and teams from very low levels in Kent have applied to join it.

There are very few teams who have actually started at the very bottom of the system and worked themselves up to anywhere half decent. This is why I respect Bedfont Green Town in a way as they have worked their way through all the leagues in order to get where they are and they still have teams playing at the very bottom of the system in the Guildford & Woking Alliance Division 4. Interestingly, both their teams have won the two division 4 titles this season. That's if they're still linked to Bedfont Town of course.

Bloody hell. I need a rest. I'm anoraked out today. I really should get out more.

Hmm interesting. Knowing and seeing our plans and players to keep and players to let know they has been no mention of Harefield. Not the 'other' Feltham Saturday you're thinking of? They always have a young team and use to be our ex youth team who broke away to form their own Feltham 2-3 years ago

Indeed, he became a father to a little girl 2-3 months ago. As for next season he will be there, he's massive to the club and a great assistant to Tys
