I can tell you of one player that wanted to play...hes 20 years old, 100 % fit and fully rested for the last 26 games..!! Ever since being recalled from his successful loan period and scoring the winner at Dagenham and Redbridge....

Nahhh second thoughts lets leave him on the bench to rot.... :wall:

Completely agree with you 100%

Remi Sutton does look good (and none of this is aimed at him at all!) but I cannot understand the logic of bringing on a player who hasn't appeard in the squad for the whole season while leaving a striker on the bench.

Ellis might not be as good as some of our other players right now but if he was given more of a chance then I'm sure he'd come on in leaps and bounds and really show that he could be a huge asset to this club but for some reason he just doesn't get given the chance.

I don't understand why you would bring a decent, promising young striker back from his successful loan period to let him sit on the bench.

But hey what do I know......

Yesterday was a complete embarrasment. There wasn’t an issue with the fans and their support like some seem to be suggesting. 1100 people turned up, many new faces, some returning faces and the shed was buzzing! Unfortunately they were not given the show they deserved and so sadly are unlikely to return!

I cannot honestly say one player on the CIFC wanted to win, the management made crazy decisions and the whole team bottled it big time!

The fact I heard a CIFC player before the game ask why the game was so important other than the play off place just about sums it up. Where was the heart? Where was the desire? And where was the fight?

Why the management continue to pursue the same old 11 week in week out for the full 90 minutes is beyond me, how they are expected to play every min of every week and still perform? Its not like we dont have any other options?

But what got to me the most is why when we are losing badly to our rivals and about to lose the opportunity to gain a play off position we take off our striker? Replace with a left back that hasnt been part of our squad untill the weekend? How is this helping team morale?! Putting on someone who just turns up and walks right into the squad? AND then take off our only other player with an attacking mind, that looked like he wanted to win and knew what the win meant to the fans for a player that is excellent, but when you are winning!!!? CRAZY!

I wished away my entire bank holiday weekend waiting for this game and now I am just still so gutted and quite honestly disgusted.

And as for the way Ellis Skidmore has been treated this year...the club should be embarrassed and ashamed. They certainly shouldn’t be surprised if he is elsewhere next season, which is a terrible shame for a player that from what I believe has been with CIFC since he was 6 and has supported them all his life, and for the club :(

The way he has been treated has been disgusting. To constantly tell a young player he will get his chance, but then not give it to him is out of order. The management will rarely drop players when they fail to perform. Messi was another player never really given a chance...

wouldnt hang too much blame on the players but the management yes, if you look at their managers they were buzzing shouting encouraging inspiring they were up for it big time, batchy and glen looked like an old married couple who had a row, nothing from them. i would of taken this position at the start of the season but i cant remember in the near 16 years of supporting this club of feeling so gutted and embarrassed after a game im not sure if promotion was even good for us but not this performance not against concord 2 games no points and no goals and 5 against, its up to the managers to get the players right and to make decisions during a game they need to stand up and take the blame

Glen was really ill, apparently. It was touch and go that he would even be able to make it.

One thing I would say is that I don't think it's necessarily fair of us to say that the players "didn't want it" or they "bottled it" as such.

After speaking to one or two of them they have assured me that they wanted it more than anything and fought just as hard as they would've done in any other game, it was just unfortunate that although we battled hard, Concord battled harder!

For players like John Easterford and Danny Heale, yesterday would've meant more than most of us can imagine.

We need to remember that one game doesn't make a season and we have everything to be proud of!! I know that I for one am proud of each and every single one of those players!

I said this on Twitter last night and I'll say it again on here... Fans need to remember that players have feelings too and players need to remember that fans have opinions but that's all they are...opinions!!!

And for the small minded people shouting abuse at individual players or spitting as was mentioned by people on here and by my Dad at the game... you're not fans and you should learn the meaning of the word "support" Everyones entitled to their opinion but targeting individual players is just plain bullying!

I say we draw a line under what was one rubbish game and come back fighting on Saturday and remind everyone just how brilliant we really are!

Speaking to them both (East and Healsey) afterwards, to say they were gutted is an understatement. That game meant a lot to them, and to see Dan dragged at halftime was incredible; as it was a huge day for him, and John.

As fans you pay your money and have a right to your opinion; whether it's right or not is a different matter. And some of the stuff that was said/done during game; well the less said about it the better.

I think it's been a cracking addition to the season having two massive derby games, and everything that comes with them. But in the grand scheme of things; they are only 2 games out of 42.

And just a thought to leave you with; you guys can still make the play-offs!! Albeit it a slim chance, it's possible. Stranger things have hapened in football.

I would say we froze rather than bottled it. We looked jaded and half a yard off the pace.

Concord exploited our weaknesses superbly and their gameplan was spot on.

As for slagging off individual players, that is just plain wrong. We've all said things in the heat of the moment like "this is sh.t, Canvey" or words to that effect but abusing and targeting individuals is just not on especially when it isn't particularly constructive.

...Which isn't true. That was a terrible performance. I counted one shot in the entire game. Concord were much the better team and were deserving winners. To suggest that we even competed is misleading and also does down our other performances this year when there has been effort on the pitch.

I'll be at Tooting on Saturday and I hope we can still make it. I've looked at the permutations - it's a slim chance but possible. If not and we remain in this division, it's not the end of the world and we'll just have to wait for our turn. We've shown that we can compete at the top end of the table though, which is important.

As I said earlier, football is about opinions....

In the majority of games one team will always be better than the other, it doesn't mean that the other team didn't try!!

Rot. There was no effort from the Canvey players.
