Waltham Forest in the ESL

Recommended Posts

Just seen Forest lost 5-0 today so will finnish bottom of the Rymans N1.

All things being equal they will replace Enfield 1893 mext season !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looked on their forum, they think it will be for the best as the ESL is weak and should therefore be able to go straight back up (touch of De Ja vu) from another relegated side not to long ago who are still here.lol

Congratulations to Enfield 1893, i have my fingers crossed they will be able to go back up. Cant see Forest coming down. Good luck Enfield for the double next Monday, anyone know how the GBMT final went today, expecting a Burnham win.

The agreement we have with the Ryman League works only one way. They take teams and don't give anything back.We had the likes of Enfield 1893 and Barking only because of financial problems.Harlow Town got away with murder and we only got Witham and God knows how.Ilford had more reprieves than Bradford Park Avenue and there are clubs struggling financially in that division. It will end up as usual...take one give nothing and no EOL side that are allowed to come up.The 1990 agreement has to be revised methinks.Take one give one sounds good.

You are a Buffon (sic) at times. Do you honestly think that the Ryman deliberately hold back on relegating clubs?

Circumstances higher up the Pyramid dictate as to who comes up/goes down.

Ilford finished second from bottom in 05/6, 06/7 and 07/8 - twice in the Isthmian and once in the the Southern, but

is it their fault that clubs above them go bust or amalgamate?

Oh and by the way, Bradford PA were reprieved six times under the old re-election system.

As for promotion, no Step 6 in Essex hardly helps, with few willing to spend money on upgrading to

the ridiculous ground-grading rules that exist at your level.

By the way, congratulations on almost making it two top half of the table finishes this century...:97:

Just to clarify, we don't think that the ESL will be a stroll in the park - in fact, its anything but that. We aren't that disappointed by relegation as we really need to get our own house in order, and without the pressures of the Ryman League, the ESL is probably the best place to do that. I doubt our attendances will be that different if we do end up in the ESL, and there being less matches means our expenses will hopefully be less.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that if we get offered a reprieve then we'll jump at the chance to continue in the Ryman League, but as Romford and Enfield have proved recently, a few years in the ESL can't do any harm.

What circumstances you flipping plonker? You finish in the bottom 2 then you get relegated no matter what!!! If they end up with 20 teams tough it ain't our fecking problem.Nearly every year they have taken teams from the ESL and given feck all back.Three years ago they even took 3 teams!!!!angry.gifWe don't give a toss above what happen with clubs at step 2,3 that go bust because they are living above their means and acting as monkey copying the Football League Clubs. The Ryman wants a club then they have got to give something back, end of!!! About Hullbridge a mid-table finish at Lower Road is worthy ten scudettos at Romford grin.gif
