after 50 years of watchin the gate i have now finished with the club .whilst going through the turnstile for concessions which i am fully entitled to do as i am 65 the obnoctious and rude so called safety officer in the yellow jacked told me i could not do so when i asked why he shouted in front of all my friends because i said so he continued to be rude until my friends assured him i was 65.i have never been so insulted before and will never go again. if this is the sort of person is in charge of safety i feel very sorry for the club as he will cause more trouble than he stops..WHAT A DAMN SHAME but nobody has to put up with that sort of hitler especially someone who has caused no trouble in 50 years home and away.DISGUSTING

Shame about that occurring Steve but it's maybe something you should bring up with the club methinks but don't let anything & I mean anything (or anyone) put you off from going to see the team you have supported all these years.

Seaside, you obviously don't look your age mate, and you should be proud of that, not insulted. If you have a complaint, take it up with the club, as Cookie says.

I'm with the others on this Steve, if you have a complaint - take it up with the club. You deserve an apology if thats how you were treated and you will only get that through officials.

and if you stay away you will miss out on Margate FC's glorious rise next season.....that would be a shame!

If you feel you cannot approach Peter Cove the Safety Officer please see me and we can discuss the matter and take it on from there so that the problem is dealt with.

On second thoughts this matter must be dealt with as what you have made is a serious accusation against someone working for the club.

 

Peter Cove works for the benefit of the supporters and the club and the procedures he has put into place has helped us as stewards to ensure that the supporters can attend and enjoy (apart from the final scores) the games safely

 

 

I have reason to beleive that Barry the Barber (someone who I have accused of being 50 in the past) was at the turnstiles at the time and I would ask you to take this up officially with the club and ask for your friends to give witness statements too.

 

Peter is unable to defend himself on the forum so this is NOT the medium in which to make such a serious charge against him.

 

If you wish you can approach me next Saturday before the final game and we can deal with the matter properly and reach a satisfactory conclusion for all concerned.

You obviously have Alziemers....(NO DISRESPECT) my nan is your age !!! & thats not what was said-the bloke in 'yellow vest' apologized to u saying"sorry,my friend!no offence,(which u acknowledged!!!!) Looks like this could have been just a misunderstanding & no more than that..

Steve,you are a Margate fan of longstanding & your attendance at games is important to the club just like any other supporter.Speak to someone or e.mail the club or just put it behind you. Surely one incident isn't enough to want to stay away from the club that you have followed all these years.
