Team's performance against Lowestoft

CK states in Fridays IOTG - '' There's a couple of decent players here''. Mass clear out then ?

'' We'll be looking for hungry young players with ambition.I've got a lot of contacts in the Football League.''

'' We did it before with players nobody else wanted ''.

'' We'll build a side and as there's less money ( than IOC had ) it may take a bit longer but we'll get there ''.

Have faith and patience.

key words there "Faith" and "Patience" but will the people paying the wages and "CAN" the people paying the wages keep the faith - time will tell.

'Faith and Patience' are my interpretation and are not quotes from CK.

but are words methinks that we will take forward next season - onwards and dare I say it UPWARDS

I'd keep Turner, Ball, Cloke, Groombridge, Wilson, Pinnock, Welford, Bradbrook and the oldest youngster in history Miller deserves a decent look (I haven't been totally convinced with what I've seen so far but think he's definitely got something about him worth a longer look. I'm sure CK will sort the wheat from the chaff).

To Keep:

Hill,

Robinson (Curtis),

Cloke,

Wilson,

Miller,

Langiano,

Quain,

Bradbrook.

That's all I would keep from present squad. So that would leave CK to bring in at least 10 to give us a reasonable size squad, and sign no over 23.

That is my opinion for what it's worth.

Think CK hit the nail on the head with his desire to bring in "athletes" and players with a bit of "fire in their bellies". "Prepared to go that extra mile". Exactly what it takes to be successful at this level. Look at Harrow this year. Budget is extremely low. Obviously they are blessed with an ideal location and pool of players turned away by higher clubs.

Think quite rightly we'll see wholesale changes in the summer, with only the hungriest of the current squad retained. WW has touches of class, but doesn't fit into the CK ethos.

Would like to think we could get another year at least out of Welford at this level, if CK gets him fit over the summer. Out of the two, I'd be more inclined to allow Bradbrook to leave. Miller merits another look I think, looks to be like a younger Pinns, maybe not as technical, but similar role.

Who CK keeps will depend on who already has a contract for next season + whoever he thinks he can bring (coach) more out of.

The next 2 games and the last 2 will help him decide.

Do not forget that to be a successful manager you have to be ruthless.

AND BALL...........just because he supports Fulham is no reason to ignore him Blueblood

Think the budget for next season will play a big part in who stays this season it was used on about 13 players by ian so to get a squad of about 18 for next season if the budget is the same players are going to be offered less than this season i would think

DEFINATES

BRADBROOK

MILLER (Looks an exciting prospect & I'm sure we haven't seen the best of him yet)

CURTIS ROBINSON

POSSIBLES

WILSON

HILL.

O'BRIEN

A bit surprised that you don't advocate retaining the Robinson (s) in your list Pridders

Yup, Sorry, complete oversight (although we all know he's got a 2 year contract anyhow) - He should have been in my list, right from the outset of the season I've been saying (along with others) that you can definitely see him playing at a higher level. I know Sturrock was down to have a look during the Lowestoft match and CR didn't do himself any favours in a below par performance (not my words, related by those who were at the game).

Might be worth a word with Jez George at Cambridge and see if he'll take a punt - I can see CR initially developing into a decent conference player and from there, who knows.
