Slough 3 Biggleswade 2

Recommended Posts

Didn't make it easy, but after being 1-0 up and 2-1 down by half time, the team came from behind to win 3-2 and book our place in the playoffs. Goals from Swift (great goal), Logie and Burnell.

Well done to the team for having the strength to turn it around in very hot conditions against a well organised team.

In other news: Arlesey have been deducted 9 points for fielding an ineligible player.

I've been impressed with us the last two games. We have not played well, but what we've done well is shown character and determination over the last two games.

Play the youth team Monday I say, don't want any potential injuries that could happen on a rock-hard surface.

again it wasnt all that pretty but i loved how we seemed determined to get the job done and get the win

pitch and weather had an effect in a game that ebbed and flowed. both teams had spells where they was on top

superb goal from Swifty

disapointing 1st goal to concede

their 2nd was a great free kick though fairly softly given

Logies goal came from nowhere really and was superbly placed

Ben Porter burst into life and his run to set up Burnell was sensational

what a shame Herrons screamer of a volley hit the bar late on

was also great to see we shut the game down and closed it out much better than we have in the past. keeping the ball sensibly

imo we have no reason to fear anyone in the playoffs. COME ON YOU REBELS!!!!!!!!!!

Indeed, well done to the management, club and team for getting us to the playoffs again. The club has come so far under Bateman and Easterbrook, and getting to the playoffs again shows that the club will keep moving forward. At least this time we have made it before the last game of the season!

The last two games have shown that the team has great determination when facing a team which is well organised and difficult to break down, and hopefully we can keep this momentum into the playoffs, whoever we have to play.

Looking forward to it, COYR!

Its was down to the watering of the pitch !

Where the hell did the 7000 litres of water go too ! and 2 hard days of work...

But in the end it was worth it... up the rebels...
