Trawlerboys Visit

Hi, we're visiting Margate on Saturday (possible stopping over Friday night).

Our supporters are making this a "hats" event, so we should all be ready to enjoy the day!

Looking forward to our visit to another seaside town, apart from the Turner Gallery what is there to do on a Saturday morning?

Gandalf.

Don't you mean "AS WELL AS the Turner Gallery" what else is there to do. Well on a nice sunny day the Beach is worth the visit if nothing else.

You could spend a few hours in the High Street browsing M & S, Woolworths and many other big name retailers. Then you could visit the caves before seeking out the many thrills available at Dreamland. A single day in Margate just isn't enough time to see everything.

Or when you lot come into Birchington you could always head down the high street and down to Minnis Bay , will be packed and you could sit and have a pint at the Minnis pub whilst gazing at the wonderful Thanet coast line . Should be a great day out for you guys except for the result of course .

If you're planning to visit the Turner Centre you'll probably spend most of the morning trying to find somewhere to park (then time in the bank arranging an overdraft to pay for parking).

Have a good day though - make some noise at the ground (some of us Margate fans have forgotten how to do that).

A three year queue ?

seriously, my "stepson" is a fairground fanatic. Is anything up and running?

No Dreamland closed no rides. Margate caves closed. Shell Grotto open worth a look

Thanks, Manston looks a good option, then a stroll along the beach!

My partner is looking a bit worried, CAMRA Beer Festival tonight (although I doubt we'll get there) then a Spitfire museum tomorrow. I'm sure we can visit some shops too before the match.

Chris Kinnear the "new" manager. Will that inspire Margate?

Manston isn't a stroll from the beach I'm afraid but 5 minutes from the ground (by car) - Westwood cross shopping centre for your shops. The beer festival runs today and tomorrow - I shall be there today, recovering tomorrow!

Will the new manager insipre Margate

in a word

This season has passed us by & is petering out Pridders. Am looking to next season for the inspiration to kick in.

I was just looking at that Tony, its funny that any team down to 11th place have a mathematical chance of making the playoffs, yet just 4 places below, if we won our last 3 games we could only go up a maximum of two places. Lets look forward to next season.
