Just got in,after walking from Epsom to Croydon,a mere 3 hour stroll.Weebs looked for you high and low,but alas never found you and Billy, you must of got there before 7.15pm.The match,Leatherhead could of been 3-0 up inside 20 mins, but for Hutchings,Terry,Andrews, spurning guilt edged chances, without a save being made by Harris in the Molesey goal.Molesey were a credit to the C.C.L. against a near full strength Leatherhead side, you could not fault their commitment to their cause throughout the whole 90 mins.Only 4 shots of note all night, plenty of pretty passing by both sides, but no end product, the Leatherhead winner was hardly the sweetest strike from Hutchings in the 83 min.but enough to beat the flailing Harris, think the ball may of hit a divot.Molesey had a great chance in the dying seconds to equalise but a shot from 6 yds was pulled wide, maybe nerves of the occassion.A Special mention for the Molesey FANS WHO OUTSUNG THE LEATHERHEAD FANS ALL NIGHT,EXCEPT WHEN THEY SCORED,you would of thought that they had won the Champions League, let alone qualified for the Surrey Senior Cup.A mention also for the Molesey Management and Players who stayed long after the Leatherhead PLAYERS HAD DEPARTED,THANKS TO MICK SULLIVAN FOR HIS HOSPITALITY,AND THE KIND GENTLEMAN WHO GAVE ME A LIFT TO EPSOM STATION.Nice to meet Bucker as well.MAN OF THE MATCH:-CHRIS BOULTER(LEATHERHEAD)CLASS ACT.

You missed our best chance of an equaliser!

Joe Pratle-Jones hitting a shot/cross to the back post and Michael Riggon was an inch from tapping it in

It was a good game though... But very nerve racking!

I thought the difference between the two teams was that they didn't give possession away whilst we struggled to hold on to the ball at times

Downside for me,Plenty of Surrey shirts there as would be expected,as it is their Competition. But how many C.C.L. Committee there, after they bigged it up.on their Official Site, for Clubs,Players,Supporters to give the Moles support, but were absent.Do as I say,not as I do,comes to mind.Still cannot expect volunteers to attend 2 games a week,so they should be out in force tonight at Egham.

I ,was right behind the goal,do not know the players name but never a cross,he had acres of time to bury it. Nice to see your boys applauding the Leatherhead keeper, and your Players at the end.Shame I never saw any of you in the bar afterwards.

I suspect Smudge walked to J6 of the M25, whereas I would have walked off at J8 and then up the A217 to Banstead ;)

Actually Smudge, i'm intrigued as to the route you took! Presume along Upper High St, past the College and Drift Bridge to Banstead Crossroads? Then where, on to Purley or up the mad mile towards Sutton/Carshalton?

Surprised you're still with us to be honest :)

T.R.S.mostly uphill too, never went to Purley cut off through the Pig Farm, now that was scary, over through the smallholdings, down to the edges of Wallington, along Stafford Rd.Very few pavements as well, and no lights for large parts of the JOURNEY.Not the worst place I have been stuck after a game of Football,Langney Sports,EASTBOURNE took me much longer to get home.

SMUDGYBOY, I DIDNT SEE YOUR HAT SO WHERE WERE YOU STANDING ?

COMMENTS ABOVE ARE ABOUT RIGHT IN MY OPINION. MOLESEY STARTED WELL IN THE FIRST 20 MINS FORCING 2-3 CORNERS WHICH WERE FLOATED IN FOR THE KEEPER TO CATCH WITH EASE. ENJOYED BOTH TEAMS TRYING TO PLAY FOOTBALL ON A DECENT PITCH ALTHO' I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT LEATHERHEAD WENT LONG MORE THAN I EXPECTED.

AFTER FIRST 20 LEATHERHEAD HAD MAJORITY OF POSSESSION AND FORCED MOLESEY INTO GIVING THE BALL AWAY DUE TO BEING PRESSED.

A FEW CHANCES WENT BEGGING WITH COUPLE OF CROSSES ZIPPED ACROSS THE BOX WITH NO END RESULT. MOLESEY DEFENCE LOOKED DECENT, SOLID AND HELD STRONG SO AT HALF TIME 0-0

SECOND HALF BELONG TO LEATHERHEAD POSSESSION WISE BUT DIDN'T TEST THE MOLESEY KEEPER. MOLESEY WERE DANGEROUS ON THEIR QUICK COUNTER ATTACKS, THEN FINALLY A GREAT FREE KICK HIT THE ANGLE BOUNCED DOWN AND SPUN OVER THE BAR ! A FEW HALF CHANCES WENT BEGGING THEN WITH ABOUT 5-10 MINS TO GO FROM A MOLESEY CORNER LEATHERHEAD BROKE A GREAT DIAGONAL BALL BY HUTCHINGS (I THINK) AND RETURNED AT THE FAR POST AREA ONLY TO SCUFF HIS SHOT WHICH SEEMED TO HIT A DIVOT AND BOUNCE OVER THE KEEPERS ARMS. THERE ARE PLENTY OF PICTURES SO MAKE YOUR OWN ASSUMPTION, BUT THAT WAS MY TAKE FROM BEHIND THE GOAL.

WITH 5-10 MINS REMAINING MOLESEY HAD 2 EXCELLENT CHANCES ONE FINE EFFORT JUST FLEW JUST OVER THE BAR. MOLESEY'S BEST CHANCE OF THE NIGHT WITH THE LAST KICK OF THE GAME JUST WHISKED THE FAR POST WHICH MADE FOR A SAD ENDING FOR MOLES.

I THOUGHT THE MOLESEY DEFENCE WERE EXCELLENT ON THE NIGHT WHEN CONSIDERING ALL THE PRESSURE PLYED BY LEATHERHEAD , ONLY EXPOSING THEIR KEEPER TO HAVING TO MAKE 1 SAVE AND THAT BOUNCED OVER THE KEEPERS ARMS. ONE COULD SAY THEY RODE THJEIR LUCK WITH THE FREE KICK AND ALTHO' THERE WERE NEAR ESCAPES THEY HELD STRONG. FOR THE FIRST 20 MINS MOLESEY EQUALLED THEIR OPPONENTS BOTH PASSING AND MOVEMENT-WISE. AND WERE INDEED A CREDIT TO THE CCL AS SMUDGE SAYS.

NO QUESTION LEATHERHEAD WERE THE BETTER TEAM, MAINLY DUE TO THEIR SYSTEM, WIDE PLAYERS AND FORWARDS BUT COULD NOT CAPITALISE ON ANY CHANCES, BUT YOU CANNOT FAULT MOLESEY FOR THEIR GUTTED PERFORMANCE, THEIR NOT LAY DOWN AND DIE ATTITUDE AND COULD HAVE NICKED A GOAL TO GO INTO EXTRA TIME THEN WHO KNOWS..................ALTHO' MOLESEY LOOKED TIRED TOWARDS THE END !

FOOTBALLS STRANGE, WITH THE LEATHERHEAD KEEPER HAVING TO MAKE MORE SAVES THAN THE MOLESEY KEEPER......THATS FOOTBALL FOLKS !

I CAN SEE WHY LEATHERHEAD ARE RIDING HIGH IN THE RYMANS THEY ARE A GOOD TEAM. THEIR SYSTEM IS DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY GOING FORWARD, GAMBLING ON THE OPPOSITION MISTAKES AND BY PRESSING TO GET THE BALL BACK, HENCE THEY'VE NEARLY GOT 100 GOALS IN THE LEAGUE.

THANK YOU TO BOTH TEAMS AND SOME OF THE LEATHERHEAD SUPPORTERS TO WHOM I HADN'T SEEN FOR A LONG WHILE FOR MAKING MY EVENING A VERY ENJOYABLE ONE, AND MORESO TO BOTH WANTING TO PLAY FOOTBALL. A GOOD GAME A FOOTBALL NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED WHICH WAS APPRECIATED BY THE 250+ AUDIENCE BY THE APPLAUSE GIVEN TO BOTH TEAMS AS THEY WALKED OFF.

WITH MY CCL CAP ON, AFTER WATCHING MOLESEY IN THE 1/4 AND SEMI-FINAL AND ABOUT 5 TIMES THIS SEASON IN THE LEAGUE PRIMARILARY AGAINST TOP OPPOSITION SUCH AS CHERTSEY, CAMBERLEY AND GUILDFORD, I THINK THEY WILL BE A TITLE CONTENDERS FOR NEXT SEASON.

NICE GUY, you really do make me laugh, whenever you have watched Molesey in the past, you have always commented about standing with their Fans behind the Goal, and what a great bunch they are.But for this game you stand with the Leatherhead ones,WHY.So you were at the game, can I ask you a couple of Questions, who played Numbers 11,7,2, for Leatherhead as you stated before you always buy a programme,so should be no problem for you.then I WILL BE A BELIEVER.Who in your opinion did Leatherhead miss most, out of their side, due to holidays. As regards Molesey being Title Contenders next year,a couple of things need changing in my opinion to do so.1. A keeper who can help his defence out,by coming for crosses,2.and Ackerman(staying uninjured)or a NEW out and out Striker. As someone said to me on the night,Molesey reminded him of Arsenal in the way they play,no mean comment, but when are they ever going to SHOOT.

BEHAVE SMUDGYBOY, WHERE I STAND IS NO CONCERN OF YOURS, DO I ASK OR CRITICISE WHERE YOU STAND AT GAMES? NO, 'COS IT DOESN'T CONCERN ME BUT AS YOU ASKED, I ACTUALLY STOOD BY THE MOLESEY FANS 1ST HALF AND WAS WITH SOME LEATHERHEAD FRIENDS THE SECOND HALF (PERHAPS I SHOULD IGNORE THEM EH !!!)

YOUR TRYING TO TEST ME EH ? OKAY I WILL GO WITH 2. DEAN 7. TERRY (THOUGHT HE HAD A GOOD GAME), 11. PATTERSON BOHNER .... HOW DID I DO ?

I TELL YOU WHAT, I'LL GO ONE BETTER: 1. RAMOS, 2. DEAN 3. HILL 4. BOULTER 5. BOSWELL 6. PESTLE 7. TERRY 8. THOMPSON 9. ANDREWS. 10 HUTCHINGS 11. PATTERSON -BOHNER........ HOW DID I DO ? ..........OH AND THE SUB THAT CAME ON WAS MACLEOD

YOU'VE ASKED ME QUESTION WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ANSWER ''AS TO WHO LEATHERHEAD MISSED MOST'' 'COS I HAVEN'T LEATHERHEAD FOR 2 SEASONS !!! NOW, UPON READING AND LISTENING TO GOSSIP, SIMMONS HAS BEEN INFLUENTIAL .... AND APPARENTLY MAAN WAS CUP-TIED HAVING PLAYED FOR CORINTHIAN CASUALS IN THE PREVIOUS ROUNDS.

IS THAT OKAY TEACHER ?....... HOW DID I GET ON SIR ?

EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN OPINION, BUT I HAVE JUST CHECKED THE CCL LEAGUE AND SEE THAT MOLESEY ARE JOINT 2ND HIGHEST GOALSCORERS WITH 90 GOALS !!! I THINK THEY MISSED ACKERMAN THE OTHER NIGHT AND HAS PROBABLY BEEN A LOSS TO THE MOLES BEING THEIR TOP GOALSCORER. IN FAIRNESS THE MOLESEY KEEPER DIDN'T REALLY HAVE THAT MUCH TO DO BAR THE BASICS
