RYMAN WOMENS CUP FINAL 2010-2011

 

 

Wednesday 20th April sees Enfield Town and Eastbourne Town meet at Aveley FC in the final of the Ryman Women Cup and it is the second year in a row that the two sides have meet at this stage after Enfield triumphed 1-0 last season with a goal from Sheree Oliver. The kick off is set for 7.30 pm

 

Enfield have won the competition for the last two seasons beating Merstham Town 8-0 in the 2008-2009 final and Eastbourne Town last time. Billericay were dispatched 8-0 in the quarter final and Met Police 2-0 to set up their place. In three seasons in the competition Enfield Town have yet to concede a goal!

 

Eastbourne Town have beaten Croydon Athletic 6-0 and Burgess Hill Town 5-0 to reach the final and like Enfield they have been drawn away from home in both this seasons ties.

 

The Ryman Womens Cup is for Ladies teams attached to men’s teams who play in the Ryman Isthmian League.

Sheree Oliver opened the scoring and after Eastbourne Town equalised Shelley Forster netted the winner 2 minutes into added time.
