how it works out?

In some Leagues when you play a suspended player, you lose the game and the result is chalked away on a 0-0 basis. How it comes Stansted result still stands in the results grid?coffee%20(2).gif

Does it really matter? Shouldn't you be concentrating on winning best programme? Or secretary of the year?

I assume for goal diffs purposes, if it was the premier letague and Southend Manor were fighting with Bethanal Green for the final 4th European place, Southend Manor could argue their goal difference should be 2 goals better.

As 4th / 5th doesn't matter in esl, i assume Manor wont make a fuss about it, but if it was higher up the pyramid where it could affect promotion ./ play offs or Europe, i guess the result would have to stand to avoid messing up the goal diffs.

It isn't Manor,it was the Hullbridge game.No relevant to be honest there is no chance now that Stansted and Enfield finish level .

Maybe it is an AFC Wimbledon situation, they were in the Ryman Prem at the time should of lost 18 points, they took it to the highest courts and got away with 3 points, but mitoo says.... Tuesday, 22 February 2011: [-3 points] Stansted 2 v 0 Southend Manor

I did hear a rumour that it was going to be 6 points then agreed at 3, so maybe the player in question played in both games, but lost the points for 1 game. Speculation and no offence to Compaq or NeverBeen as the season finished now anyway.

people just to clarify the 3 points that stansted were deducted were from the 2-0 home win against southend manor and not the 4-1 away win at hullbridge sports,i hope that now clears up any doubt anyone might still have, also would like to point out that our club was only ever going to lose 3 points and not the 6 points as sugguested ( no offence ) by our dear friends at witham

Runwell, just a small correction to your report mate:

"To the match, and this was being billed as the title decider. Its significance had increased in the previous seven days. Firstly last saturday Stansted's unbeaten run surprisingly ended at home at the hands of Hullbridge Sports, just three games short of a season unbeaten campaign, and one short of the all time Essex Senior League record, set by Basildon Utd about thirty years ago. Then the real stake in the heart for the current champions was the docking of three points this week for fielding a player still awaiting punishment from the FA for an incident in a sunday league game, with the win over Southend Manor in february chalked off. That left Stansted four points behind Enfield with a game in hand, but with just two games left after this one. That meant a win for Enfield today would secure the championship, just leaving them to chew anxiously on whether they have the all clear to go up."

Correct reason for losing the 3 points is:

Stansted lose 3 points for playing substitute Joe Johnson against Hullbridge in 4 1 win when he was suspended

Thanks statto. I actually thought it was the Hullbridge game (which I was at on a yukky Thursday night, 17th February), but Mitoo said it was the Southend Manor game when I checked today to see if the tables had been updated. Mitoo is not my friend!

So Stansted get nil points from Hullbridge this season. They must hate you guys! sly.gif

And someone called London Bucks should know better.......
