Lets say most clubs have 3 subs, so you have at least 14 players, a Manager, physio and an Assistant so lets say 17 people involved actually on the game then the opposition have 17 too. 34.

 

At Basildon, Eton Manor, Hullbridge, Mauritius which is 4 of the 7 games, there are more players than fans. No offence to these 4 clubs. Love you all. x Just an observation.

You know what Mark?Bas Vegas and the rest of these teams all live in high civilized areas surrounded by a lot of other non league clubs and certainly there is more to do on Saturdays afternoon than in rural Essex where after using the plough and the tractor there is not much else to do apart shagging each other in the stables.Thus football is the only form of entertainment for these villages forgotten by God paired with the only local cinema that shows "Gone with the wind"for the fourth time in a week.That explains the higher attendances at Witham, agricultural colony of North Essex....capito???

I thought Witham were really out of sorts. They had no idea what the manager was asking them to do. It is going to be a long summer for them if they want to achieve promotion next season. I think your evaluation of "average" is fairly generous.

I am not fussed to be honest. The last 6 weeks have been encouraging. We need to keep this squad together for pre season and who knows what will happen next season. The problem is player retention and with no budget, no bar and no reserves we are struggling to keep players when they do not play. It is hard to work we just 16 players as when you get injuries you have just the bare bones. Our best 11 is a match for anyone in this league as we have proved recently but we cannot get them out on the pitch.
