Wealdstone V BTFC

Recommended Posts

as i am back to my normal ways of follwing us through twitter, the wealdstone tweet has good coverage of the game.

So far comments have been made like ' ricay either have been real fortune or they are terribly underperforming today' i hope its the latter because we are nearly there just need a big push to the end.

anyways 45 minutes to go to turn around this result and keeps us in the play off hunt!

COYB!!!!!

We were rubbish in the first half. Three or four of them looked completely different players to the ones who played so well on Monday.

Wealdstone scored a once in fifty wonder goal.

Unfortunately the referee had a catastrophic performance but none the less there can be no excuse for getting sent off like Wildy did. Far too many yellows for dissent this season, Hopefully that's something we can improve on next season..

We did have a few chances but so did they. It's going to very difficult now but you never know - all we can do is try and win the next game.

Comeon you Blues!!

Shame really...There was nothing about Wealdstone and if we had played up to our potential, we would've beaten 'em.

The ref was shameful but if we had put in as we had against Aveley on Monday, perhaps we would've earned the right to moan about him. Where I'm standing, we lost that right by our poor performance and some players lack of effort and application.

Do we really stand a chance of making the play off's? It's very tenuous in my opinion. Looking at the remaining fixtures, we're looking for some clubs to really slip up big time and I can't see it. We've run out of fixtures to see any major changes because it's so tight (even if we do win all our remaining games). Still, we hold on to whatever glimmer of hope we can. But, as people have said, we've had a better time of it then the last two seasons and it takes more than one season to make the ground up. That we have won a up this season and are still in with a (tenuous) shout of a play off place, is a result of Craig Edwards and his managements hard work with the players (IMO).

Agree with Gazza, we didn't deserve anything out of the game, the ref was poor but we were far poorer!

Real shame after Monday that half the team didn't show up, usual characters in my view decided not to put in a shift and that I think has put an end to the season.

On the positives however we have won a trophy this season and have had some good away days on the train, Saturday not being right up there, but still a good crack!!

It was a meek surrender of our play off chances and for me, was the worst performance of the season given what was at stake. It should have finished 4/5 zip to Wealdstone. Poor turnout from supporters, I can only assume people have given up which doesn't bode well for the future.
