On yer bike!

It's come round quick but tomorrow is our last scheduled cycle ride of the season - this time a 36 mile sprint to Leighton. Other than being a bit hilly through Beaconsfield, Amersham and Chesham it's quite a nice route and makes a change from the Wycombe/Princes Risborough and Aylesbury route which has characterised so many of our trips.

When we planned this cycle challenge we had 10 rides scheduled totally 524 miles. By the time we get to Beaconsfield for the final away game (we've added that one in as a bonus ride!) we'll have done 501.

It's been fun! We've had two really long rides - Atherstone (100 miles) and Soham (93 miles) and not forgetting the aborted attempts to Daventry and Woodford. Barton was the only one that was postponed where we didn't manage to set off at all (hence the slightly short mileage).

As ever I'm indebted to my friends Andy and Claire who have kindly kept me company. It's been good practice for the three of us as along with two other colleagues we'll be cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats in just 11 weeks from now!! 920 miles in 12 days!!! I might tap a few people up for sponsorship on that too  .

It's just me and Claire riding tomorrow as Andy has some college work to do so, as ever, wish us luck and give us a wave if you pass us. See you at Leighton.
