Let's change our name to Turner Contemporary FC

Make Tracey Emmin vice president (don't worry Alan we will bump you up to life president)

Have some modern art on our shirts next year as sponsors..

THEN we may get the new stadium...

Thoughts??

All sounds good except the bit about Alan......ideal opportunity to get rid of him!

The 'Arty-Farty, Liberal, Fudge-Packing, Middle-Class, Free Palestine Now, End Global Warming and Make Lesbianism Compulsory' Stadium should get planning approval plus all the grants we ever need.

Yes, I am turning into Richard Littlejohn.

Now that's given me a good chuckle!

Good that he is-has Jamie earned the right at this stage after just one season, to have the stadium named after him ?

If he wins the lottery tonight then YES or anyone else...... don't all rush at once..... sealed bids accepted

I get all sorts of grief at work coz I said when I win the lottery I'll buy into MFC....if my numbers come up tonight I'll be in the bar for the Lowestoft game and we can decide what we'll be calling the new stadium - democratic process!

Art critic gives his verdict on Turner Contemporary. And if you can't be bothered to read it all the last two words are white elephant.

Brian Sewel doesnt like anything lower class...but I have to say I agree with him! They were determined it would be built and bugger local opinion. I liked the quote " a town once "inhabited by savages and lunatics" (The Times, 1871). " No change there then!!

' White Elephant ' ? Well that makes 2 ' White Elephants ' on the seafront now - 1 Tall and 1 Squat.

Obviously not such a good ' trumpet blowing ' exercise then.

The original Chipperfields Circus used to come to the town regularly in the sixties and seventies and probably put on a better show

than this mega expensive outfit will do. They used to parade the elephants (a sort of grey colour, not white) along the seafront

when they arrived in the town.

Reality bites... We've got it so don't knock it.

Perhaps the Club can offer them some outside exhibition space, the town can have a Turner Trail then. Joint ventures and all that,.Bar open for drinks and food & souvenirs Worth looking at you never know it could be another revenue source.
