as mr burns would say.. clean sheet away from home against one of the leagues better teams and by all accounts we should have cleaned up.. bedford n charlshalton lose with brayley doing the damage at scraly road.. bognor back to winning ways, mmm not sure i like that .. but the teams that did win that concern me are hornchurch and haynes (these guys being my new outside tip).. purfleet are putting some good stuff together and are scoring and conceding loads!! whats that all about? they will be changing their name next....!

anyway we now have an intresting game to look forward to at the lane against the outlanders from south west norway.. normally a goal fest for us, but after doing the 'shalton' 4 nil they may actually try n attack this time.. i think we could be in for a torrid first 20 and if they go 1 up a tough first half.. but i think we are too strong for them overall.. 2-1 to us or 6-0 no in betweeens.. if they win it will be 2-1.. if its a draw both our scores will be the same.. im off now to my new job as sky sports pundit for non league ;-)

A good result and performance against a Sutton side who were very dissapointing and created very little.

Superb performance by Duffers. He got alot of criticism about his performance against Northwood but today he was outstanding and scored a sublime goal. David Theobald was an absolute rock at the back and Smithy and Wardy both had good games.

Neil Midgley had probably his best game for Canvey and good to see Dobbo back in the midfield. Added some much need bite.

Referee was awful. Why on earth did he disallow Dave Theobald's goal?

Thought we controlled the game from start to finish. Had a few scares near the end but to be honest we should have won by a far wider margin, certainly their keeper made some good saves.

Never an easy place to get a result but we played some quality football today and thoroughly deserved the result.

Thought that was our best performance away from home so far, we bossed the game from start to finish and should have won by far more.

Really hope this will be our year cant, really see anyone challenging us. Carshalton get hammered at Heybridge which shows they might not be a force for much longer. The team I thought would challenge us Kettering are looking very average at the moment, been thrashed in their last two games and (one of those was against Basilricay!!!!)shows they will be unlikely to mount a title challenge.

This has to be our year. What a Pi** up it will be when we finally win the Ryman, I'm sure all the drinks will be on Jeff!!
