Danny I was thinking the same thing last thursday/friday..there was no posting for like 28 hours!!

 

Who you wanting as new manager?

 

Need to get rid of lots of players?

 

 

Kind of think CK will come back (stadium pending) and as for the players I personally would keep maybe 5 or 6 max - using the excuse that we had 6 players out last saturday so we didnt gel blah blah blah gets my goat, some of the main players we have are on more money part time than some of supporters that go to watch them - major league shake up IMO.

I would of said martin allen but he went to barnet lol - but what about ex players who are in management? Surely there are some..julian dicks is at grays...someone like that would be good I think..but I suppose it comes down to money...we need to make right appointment and push the boat out

Where is this money going to come from? Grays are only mid-table in their league so I don't see what Dicks has done. Big names rarely work at this level.

I don't know where money will come from CE..its difficult..

 

I just thought an ex player like dicks could have connections, and with the right budget / players could do well..he was on final 2 shortlist for Newport Job I've heard but just missed out..

 

Also having a big name in football may work well on the commercial front? Bring in crowds?

 

I don't know was just a suggestion...

 

If all else fails let's have Page and Anstice as management dream team....? Yes? No?

I think i said our season was as good as over as sooon as we made the usual early exits from FaCup and Trophy, as even then it was pretty obvious that we would remain mid table.

 

Still at least no relegation nervousness.

 

I think most of the players areworthwhile retaining-surely as long as not past their sell by date (one or two only of IOC's 'mates left only-most are good enough,and just need the right leadership and organisation from a quality manager.

Surely -its no different to players to managers-in the main you need continuity .

 

AS for the rest of the season-i am simply takijng the view that there is now probably less than 13 weeks to the first pre-season friendly of next seasons campaign-roll on next season

I will have to disagree michael with one thing - the retaining most players...I mean its fine to retain most of them if we want to be fighting relegation or just in the lower part of the table next season..if we want to push upwards and onwards we need to invest in new players and release others

I would be interested (the answer how long is a piece of string is NOT an answer) Cause on arealistic note again maybe if we get our heads around what do we need to financial support success it may help us to understand better the issues raised.

Yes i know money can't guarantee success but i think it may help.

For example not based on any knowledge if you say a player is on £500 a week (inclusive of NI & Taxes) and you want a squad of say 18, well that simple makes £9000 per week.

Over a season of say 36 weeks is £324,000 plus Managment & staff. Do you see where i'm heading, if these figures are what are required for promotion, then we may all have to pitch in more to make it happen.
