Triple hatrick

Recommended Posts

On a football related note, rather than threads about so called supporters who think swearing makes them look "hard" and that a drum will give "atmospher" - gravity, Oxygen, Nitrogen and some other gasses make an atmospher, we should be recognising Danny Burnells third hatrick of the season.

To put this into perspective we had gone seasons without a hatrick - was it Andy Ballard who scored one last?

And now Danny has done it three times in a season - quality.

Whilst on the subject of triple hatricks, we have had three players this year score three or more goals in a game - Danny, Steve Sinclair and Gary Sippetts.

One thing we have not been short of this season is goals - just got to stop the silly ones being conceded.

Also watching Slough is value for money, for if you want to see goals go in, we have not had a 0-0 game and only 3 games with a 1-0 score line.

Lets try talking about football on a football forum - if you want to talk crap do it on facebook or twitter, you "freinds" might be impressed by your gobbing off - I am not.

Trying to think of the last Slough player to get three hat-trick's in a season? Guessing probably Ian Hodges or Tony Boot? They seemed to get them quite a lot

Hodges got three hat-tricks in the 2003/04 season.

3 goals against East Grinstead in the cup.

4 goals against Epsom and Ewell in a 7-1

3 goals against Horsham

Based on reports from Nathan's Rebels Online website

I should add that of course all the information for this very long running project has been supplied by Alan Smith and bits and pieces from John Tebbit also so our thanks will go to them once it is all completed.

On last count we were nearly at 4,700 matches and line ups compiled. Plenty of queries in amongst that which I'm still working through with Alan, but it should be all ready by the summer months (pre baby two hopefully!)

Much of the data has already been collated, so the web team will now look at the best way of formatting that data into something which fits into the site design. Being as though Tom's playing down his developmental role, I'm going to say it will look "super awesome" when it is done.

Your move Tom. :)
