What with you and NLS my team talk is done, I bet Spencer wishes he could shut you up as well as NLS.Another great win for us yesterday and another clean sheet Bimal and Alex on the scoresheet again.

Come on duncs, Wattsy banned from his club for having an opinion on the ref (see today's NLP!), NLS suddenly silent after daring to suggest he has a good goals to games ratio (not on a par with Medic, granted) and NG panned for daring to give an opinion as to future results!

All we'll be able to talk about soon on here is the weather ;)

For what it's worth, I think Guildford will do it. Chertsey have no more home games, Cove are on a decent run of form and Egham is a derby game. Guildford have CWU and Croydon coming up at home, so if they slip up there they only have themselves to blame. There, that's another 2 team talks sorted dance%20%282%29.gif

is that your attempt at a team talk SF i suggest you stick to watching, what happens is Koo does his team talk tactics and whatever and then hands over to me, do you honestly think I am going to mention anything that is said on this forum in my talk before a match you codling, have you never heard of mind games a forum is the perfect place for them, most of the youngsters who play for us would never have heard of the Fans Focus Forum so it wouldn't do much good mentioning it, now if I was to mention something that was said on Facebook that would be a different kettle of fish altogether, and then I'll go and put the cones out.

SO WHY SAY 'THATS MY TEAM TALK DONE' MAKE YOUR MIND UP WHAT YOU WANT TO TELL THE PLAYERS........... NO SUGGEST YOU LEAVE IT TO YOUR MANAGER WHO I ASSUME IS KOO !

VP VERY INTERESTING YOU STATING THAT EITHER CHERTSEY OR GUILDFORD GO INTO THE ZAMARETTO AND NOT RYMANS ? PLEASE EXPLAIN MORE.....................INTERESTING

The Ryman League has The Kent League, Essex, Sussex, Combined Counties, Eastern Counties and Spartan League all potentially feeding it. There are only four places available so the clubs winning those leagues can't all go into it. The Zamaretto League has few teams wanting to go into it from some parts of the country due to the travelling. In the past couple of years teams in and around East Anglia have kicked off demanding to be put into the Ryman League which means teams from West Surrey and NW and SW London are now being put in the Zamaretto League. There's talk that Fleet may be willingly switched from the Ryman to Zamaretto again next season and Godalming may go with them. Those two teams have flitted between the leagues in recent years. If so, it means anything west of Walton is now Southern League territory. That includes Chertsey & Guildford.

Our last two promoted sides have ended up in there and teams like Ashford are in it although there's also the split between 'central' and 'south & west'. I think two seasons ago Windsor were in one division while Slough were in the other so it all depends where the border lines go.

This is just my opinion and we won't know where teams end up until all the promotions and relegations are sorted and leagues have had their AGMs but western CCL clubs can't assume they'll go into the Ryman League if promoted these days.

THANKS VP FOR YOUR INPUT .................

Farleigh one up following (IMO) a soft penalty. Cobham well on top.

Hounslow 0 south park 4

Good day for us with other results going are way, thought i was a wind up when i heard them. Chris Smith hit his 7th hattrick of the season, if he doesnt get league top scorer, whoever beats him would of had a very good season. After losing 3 on the bounce at such a vital time of the season, to be told if we win tommorrow night we go top was great news and unexpected. What a difference a week makes!!!

Good game, Good officials, Lovely sun, Time for a snooze

I fully appreciate your point of view and I heartily concur as regards the weather, but the game was, in my honest opinion, dire. We lacked fans (we do anyway, but the three other diehards were unable to come) and players. We had on the bench just Paul Bennett, of the controlling Bennet clan, and, lovely fella though he is, even he will admit he is a bit player now for a Sunday pub side. No Pearcey on the sidelines with Colin Bartholomew and John Hamsher, and no Matt Grave, Tom Bentley, Tom Martin, Reon Thomas, Chris Hibbs or, providing he is still with the club after his only appearance, James Frayn. Where were they all? This game has been on our schedule all season.

A magnificent save by Justin Gray prevented the Trams taking a 16th minute lead but a well worked goal gave the home side a lead they deserved because they were presenting more of a threat than Brendan Matthews and John Pomroy did throughout the whole game. The home side , with six losses on the bounce, thus inflicted on Egham their fifth successive pointless sortie. We were total dog poo against a side who fought harder, ran harder, looked more cohesive throughout and yet still looked like what they are, a side second from bottom. I hope this does not sound like I am denigrating The Trams; they are second from bottom because they are, by definition, crap, so by extension of that definition, we were even more crap. We cannot blame either the pitch or the referee, because both were excellent. Despite this the only guy involved with Egham Town, other than me, who has actually seen us win things (Southern Combination Cup sometime in the mid 70s) still believes that sacking Steve Baker is the key to a bright new dawn. When he was sacked I said to my hubby that I seriously doubted that we would pick up another 6 or 7 points before the end of the season. We have, in two weeks, our final away game, against Epsom & Ewell, and face at home, Sandhurst Town (Tuesday), Molesey next Saturday, Chertsey Town on Bank Holiday Monday, and end the season with Badshot Lea. Given that Smudge told me today that B Lea have lost players (which their loss at Dorking today may bear out) we may end with not-a-defeat, but as for the others, I have huge doubts. A fellow Eghamite, another lucky enough to miss today's horror show, says to mark us up as relegation candidates next season. I don't think we will be that bad, and Mr Hamsher may be biding his time before waving his magic wallet, sorry, wand and we crush beneath our boots all those having the temerity to defy the mighty Egham machine. At the moment we need a mechanic to get the spanner out of the works.

It was nice to meet Smudge, and hopefully I will be able to see a different slant to his postings. Good luck to him and to Croydon. If you have any spare can we have it, please?

Smudge,

Just wondering which players (Liam Stone apart) have Badshot Lea "Lost" or are you referring to our crippling injury list?

And TS dont be too sure of not ending up on the wrong side of a result against Badshot Lea just like the 3-0 we gave you a few months ago! ;)

And although im out injured at the mo and despite some players possibly having slight symptoms of NICE GUY syndrome :97:

As awful (and we were embarassingly sh*t) as we were, Dorking were easily the better side second half on Saturday from what i saw from the sidelines so i wouldnt let the result or their current league position fool you that much as their recent last few results against higher placed teams would show.

I'm pretty sure though with the Aldershot Cup semi final on the horizon and hopefully a higher placed finish than last season should see us start playing a little bit more like I and others know we can. coffee%20(2).gif

Hi Steve, how far away do you think Egham were of seriously challenging for the title if you had stayed on? I did not see you play this season.

Hi Ellers,

Challenging for the tilte was not an option but i felt confident that we would finish in the top 6.

We lost to many key players this year through circumstances that were out of our control and it

hit us hard and meant that we could not beat anyone in the top 6.

However we had just made a few new signings and had won 2 out of the last 3 so things were on the up.

With the players that we had spoken to for next season and a couple of key players back from long term injury

i felt we had a chance next season.

Alas this might now be with someone else i hope !

Cheers

Steve
