Just unearthed two excellent FA Cup clips on the internet...

 

Margate v Crystal Palace 14.12.1935

 

Blackpool v Margate 11.1.1936

 

...didn't know any film footage existed of these ties.

 

I managed to download both clips after watching them. A pop-up saying 'Download this video' appeared above the little viewing box and the clips saved to My Videos\RealPlayer downloads on my pc. Just in case you download them and can't find them on your computer. Once they're downloaded you can watch bigger versions (lower quality though) using media player or whatever.

If you go to http://www.movietone.com/ and register (only takes a minute - just enter an e-mail address and password) you can then search videos and there's masses of Thanet ones on there. I searched for Margate, football to get the clips I've linked to. Good one of the 50's football game on the Goodwin Sands too. From memory I think there's a similar Pathe news site.
