Congratulations to Colney Heath on their victory last night.

 

First half was rather scrappy affair with one good save from colney heath keeper.

 

Second half was better and colney came right into the game and were better side. Scored one and had two good chances to score again. Then had penalty (was there contact? - highlights to be downloaded tonight onto the cold end) well saved. Made it 2-0 with about 5 mins to go. Good performance from colney, they never gave levy any room in the 2nd half.

 

The trophy was handed over in darkened conditions as two of the floodlights were turned off.

 

Highlights and report to follow tonight on the cold end

 

 

Good to see crowd of 200+

Thought it was a poor game even more so for a final. Colney set up to defend the slope in the first half and just sat back. Neither team really went for it...lucky for me there was a stunning blonde in the crowd to keep my eyes open.

Not sure about the contact, difficult to tell whether he was touched and how far forward the ball went, i.e. was he going to score.

One thing i will say is that the lad Cooper knows how to get a penalty - that is two in two games which were dubious!

I could hear the contact from where I was. Very little if any dispute from the Leverstock Green players which is a sign that the Referee got the key decision of the game correct.

 

P.S. Did Rhodes attend. He said he would. :smilewinkgrin:
