Recommended Posts

I was too ill to come to the game last night and got sent this link to the match report...

Good to see a well written, unbiased match report...obviously the spell and grammar checker weren't functioning.....

Very unbiased compared to his Match Reports on the Badshot Lea,Guildford City games. The writer of these reports thinks Horley Players are ANGELS,but the facts show they are not.Not content with rubbishing how other Teams play,he then rubbishes the Club in general.Think whoever is in charge of the Horley Website, should give this eedjet the boot,he does nothing for Horley Town's Image.

Would just like to say that I agree the match reports are a little biased on occasion but the guy who writes these is one of the nicest people I have ever met in non league football. I know Gilly the front side Gaffer would also agree but at least somebody else bar him is actually contributing down at the club !!!!

Match reports is about the only thing he does'nt do :wall:

If he is such a nice guy why is he slagging off the welcome, the pitch, the facilities etc in the way he does. Not exactly the most tactful piece of writing I have ever seen and the insinuation is that RPV are unwelcoming is poor show.

Interesting Jertzee

I seem to remember a rather biased viewpoint of the South Park Vs AFC Wimbledon game, also some colourful language to describe us as a club on and off the pitch!

I saw what happened 3 characters come into the ground via the players entrance, before the gates opened. From where I was standing they didn't seem to have any passes. When they was asked to leave and re enter when gates opened one of them said the other was a player, this so called player was bigger then me.

The clubhouse was open for food and drink so don’t know why they didn't go into there.

Also would like to say to this idiot that RPV are properly the poorest club with regards to finance in the CCL, and the club is run by just a few people who put in a great deal of time and effort.

He’s comments are insulting and not true, and I am surprised that Horley allowed this report.

RPV would never try and get into a ground without paying, which is what looks like these were doing.

Chinladen,do not think Jertzee was disrespectful of South Park as a Club on or off the pitch on here.I would of been on him like a ton of bricks if he had.

I think the person that wrote this report needs to take his rose glasses off. thought it was a contest to see what keeper could kick the furthest. horleys was a flapper, and rpv could just kick.

Chinladen - as has been mentioned I wasn't disrespectful to South Park as a club.

I commented on the fairness of some of the challenges and on comments made to us as we walked through a bunch of SP fans.

As for bias I mentioned that our keeper should have got a red (from where I was standing) so not sure I really was....

Anyway, the MAIN difference is that I am not a spokesperson for anyone but ME, and the Horley match report is on the OFFICIAL Horley website - a massive difference I think.

I think most teams or fans views on a game can be biased, even unwittingly, but that is not quite the same as comments made by the Horley guy, however nice he may be.

Anyone remember The Maltese Falcon, a film in which the Humphrey Bogart character said, the cheaper the hoodlum, the gaudier the patter. Or something like that.

If what you describe transpires to be true I would agree that this is not good reflection on the individuals. I would also be disappointed if it were my club.

OK Lets set a few things straight. Doing match reports are all always bias to the team you support saw the Guildford report against us and it was a joke but thats football we are all intitaled to our own opinion. If we are bad I try to say it if we are good I say it if the referee is poor I say it if the referee is good i say it. If you do not like it then do not bother reading it, I try my best to help the Club which is struggling with no chairman, no secretary, no programme editor which I did to help out for the last three games and as you say most clubs only have a few people doing a lot.

The Comments about the Raynes Park game are true, we walked into the ground with everybody else, there was only one entrence, No we did not want to go in the clubhouse as it was a nice sunny evening and we went and sat in the stand having a drink and a chat with my two sons. My eldest is a player but was not needed that night and I had a pass. If the gentlemen who came up to us had just spoken to us and not shouted and sreamed at us in a very disrespectful way! and said could you come and pay that would have been fine and we would have gone and paid the same as we did earlyier in the season when the same thing happened They only open the gate about five minutes before kick off. I have to get teams etc for match report and speak to manager etc before the game that is very hard, also on the night the kick off was put back another 15 minutes as most of the Raynes park vale side were late. So we stood outside of the ground alongside some ground hoppers who were very unhappy as well for nearly an hour in the end. Not a good way to treat supporters of any Club.

We are all passonated about our teams we support and when the game is over its over.

I think you may be slightly confused, it may have been the bright sunlight, however there are 2 entrance’s, 1st for the players which you used the first time, and the main entrances, for supporters which you used the 2nd time.

Also if you had a pass why didn’t you show it and you could have stayed in.

I was standing there I think I would have noticed any shouting or screaming, which I didn’t.

Furthermore a slight exaggeration with regards gates opening 5 mins before kick-off, the gate are opened at least 30 mins if not longer. This is because RPV have only a hand few of people on match day’s helping therefore there are other jobs that need doing first. Perhaps we should put a tin on the gate and people could put there entrance money in.

You mentioned disrespect read your match report that’s disrespectful, and I’m not talking about the report on the match.
